Hi all,
I have just bought 2 fruit machines that I knew were faulty but was hoping with a bit of help with the all knowing members on here I would soon be able to get them up and running.
Firstly here are the problems with Barcrest Arabian nights,
The machine powers up fine but straight away alarms with the following errors
Alarm 24 - A7
Reel d setup
Seek tab failed
I also need a start button.
Any help on the above would be greatly appreciated as it does look like quite a good machine if I can get it working.
The orther machine is an Ace Hotshot which from what I was told needs a new coin slot and a start button. I cannot get inside it yet so not sure if it nees the full coin mech or if there is any other problems.
Thanks
MAngolio

Lol, A very good machine by the way, when you do get it working.. Same as Magic Carpet! But anyways, err all I know is that Reel D is the number reel :S Lol.. and, just out of interest, when these alarms or faults go, does it go HEY CHECK IT OUT! lol? If it did, I would so smash the thing up!

Yes it does shout that when it alarms. It is quite annoying as I couldnt wait to turn it off when I had wrote the alarm faults down lol.
Reed d does not spin so that is the fault then I would imagine.

if reel d doesn't spin at all, have a good look at the wires that go into the connector on that reel,it may just have came loose from the connector.
what you can also do is swap the feature reel with any other reel inside the machine to see if the fault stays with reel d or follows the reel to the new position.

Thanks for the reply guys guys. I have checjed the reel conectors and they seem fine but I have not yet switched the reels as Baz said but will tomorrow when I am more sober as I have been to a party. One thging though is that when the machine is powered up and I try to move the main reels I get the humming noise but reel d just spins freely so I presume it is cream crackered.
Any ideas on its other 2 alarm faults in the 1st post?
Thanks

Alao the ace hotshot is locked and the seller does not have the keys. Is there any easy way to get it open without smashing the thing to pieces? My mate thinks a big chisel pushed at the back of the lock with a big hammer would do it but I am not sure.

It is the circle key so as you said I am not sure if drilling it will be any good.

you can only drill out these locks if you use brand new drills.
start with a small drill maybe 6-8mil and drill as close to the middle of the lock as possible, drill as much as you can and then change to a drill bit that is roughly about 4-6 mil's bigger.
