OK, I noticed some odd activity which has been dealt with out of the public areas of the forums.

Basically one user (whom I'll refer to as User X) gave his password to an untrustworthy user (known by several usernames, for example 'PT', 'gamesroom') for an unknown reason.

As you may be aware, his account was then used to post some utter shite, and 'PT' took control User X's account, and obviously forgot he leaves his IP address on every post he makes. Obviously not as clever as he thinks he is ;)

Basically -

DO NOT give out your password and username to ANYONE. If YOUR account is misused by SOMEONE ELSE, because YOU have given them login details, YOU will be held responsible, and as was the case with the users involved here, they are both currently banned.

This could have been far more serious. The password that User X gave out was also his password for other sites. His accounts on AT LEAST one more site I know of have been affected, in that 'PT' edited User X's user options, and if this password / username combination was used on anything other than a fruit machine site, User X could find himself in some serious trouble - think online banking, eBay, Paypal, e.t.c...

Thats my warning to everyone. There is NO legitimate reason for ANYONE to need to know YOUR password, and if you give someone a password without realising it is a password for say online banking, your bank WILL NOT refund you any money stolen, because they have forbidden you to give out your personal details.

IF ANYONE REQUESTS YOUR LOGIN DETAILS, PLEASE CAN YOU LET ME KNOW THEIR USERNAME VIA A PRIVATE MESSAGE, BY CLICKING THE LINK HERE : http://www.fruit-emu...do=newpm&u=1898 .

Lets hope neither myself nor another moderator/administrator has to mention this again any time soon!

I am sorry here as good as the advice is the person that has posted the advice did just that and got owned its a bit like bolting the door after the horse has bolted. PLUS and its a big plus thats common sense I don't even give my email out unless I explicitly trust the person In the case of this user he did not actually give the other user his password but rather was tricked in to giving it out, unlike a certain mod that gave their pass out willynilly.
