Sorry for all these questions.. I am a complete noob and am trying to buy a good machine for home.
As most of you know, I am trying to get a HellRaiser clone which is in immaculate condition
I asked a question about 'home machines' on another forum and was told that King Kebab was good.. And I have tracked one down which is cheap and in good condition.
Would this make a good 'home' machine? Would 'Hellraiser' be any better.
As off today, my delima is whether i should spend £100 on this good condition 'King Kebab' or £350 on an 'as new' All Fired up.
As always your thoughts/views are appreciated

Chan.
The only reason I am fretting is that every machine I have looked at has been literally hundereds of miles away.. For some reason, here in South Wales, very few people own (or are selling) machines.
Everything I have seen to date has been either the South East or Up North.
So, if I am going to buy something, its going to be a long jounrney and I need it to be the right one.
The comments are taken on board.. For £100 I guess I can't go wrong.. It would certainly make a good starting point, so I think I will go for it!
Cheers

King kebab is no different from any other machine. take away the money element and they become boring in a very short pace of time (my opinion).
i guess thats what allways influenced me to buy a clubber, as the cycle goes on for much longer. that said, i was able to set club PCB on £75 30p play and that made a very entertaining game.
try as much as you can to not open the machine up. that way your still chasing the money - albeit your own.

Hi there
I couldn't help but notice that you may be thinking about purchasing a hellraiser clone.
My brother actually has the hellraiser and is thinking of selling it.
It has both the £5.00 and £25.00 decal strips and spare red and blue bulbs.
Please send me an email if you're interested and would like further details (including making an offer).

How did you manage that? I was under the impression the stakes and prizes were fixed to £75/5p, £100/10p e.t.c?
£75/30p will probably play more or less like most pub machines today, loads of machines streak for £75 these days anyway

its the only club machine that ive managed to do that on. i was curious to find out if you had the oil-rig % key, could you play on £75 and 50p/£1 play?

there are 2 types of keys other than normal, though i think i was wrong with the oil-rig key bit, but..
casino keys go upto £1000 jackpot (variable 70-92) and 50p/£1 play
oil-rig key i believe has the ability to pay well under the 70% mark.
dont quote me on those figures, if someone has a CPCB perhaps they could have a quick look in their manual and put me out of my misery??
The game play on £75/30p/86% was very different, dispite the faster rollout of the jackpot, the hidden cashpot showed itself alot more. typically a £75jp+£75cp+£50 afterplay is common. (£200 run)
if you play the £250 version properly, you can do a £550 run with ease.

The manual shows several program options available:
From memory:
ferry sets payout to 56% - something very low like that anyway; i was a little shocked by this as I have done well on the ferries in the past, but presumably not all machines have this option
Casino enables £500/£1000 jackpot allows 80-88%
Oil rig sets payout to 82% - somthing in the higher range
Datapak enable datapak
There are a couple more as well, the manual is at home if no one corrects the above I can post the correct list tonight.
It doesn't mention however what are valid stake/prize combo's and I would be interested to find out what you could do. The percentage is set by 3 dips switches and seems independant of the stake/prize chosen unless you have a program option 'override'
Also with these program options, were they something that you had to request when purchasing the game (i.e. hard coded into the program card) or plug in modules of some kind, if so where would you plug them in/what do they look like.
