Hi,

I have just purchased a King Kebab machine and have no idea how to set things... i.e the payout rate, set it on free play etc. (what do all the dip switches do...:) )

Is there anywhere I can get a manual for it ? (or the MPU)

Thanks in advance
Aran

i'd suggest serching the threads if this topic 'falls from the homepage' witn no answers as there are a few engineers here who may be able to help.

If in a day or Two theres no reply here then try a polite PM to them. just One will do to each. Thats not saying you'll get a result, but at least the guy's that are likely to help will be able to see your request.

heres some help to start with

free play can only be accessed when the bottom and top door are open, just press the start button.

% payout settings can be changed with a variable % key.

open the top door and look at the board that says mpu5 on it.

there should be 2 things sticking out of the gamecard,a stakes and prizes key and a % key.

its the % that changes the payout rate.
you may have a standard key which will be coloured and will say what % it is already on.
you will need a variable % key which has small switches on it if you want to change it on a regular basis.

i bought a variable key off of ebay, a whopping £2.50 that made me hours of fun on my old jpm roller coaster.

mpu5 would require 2 of these keys, one for stakes, and one for prizes.
if you`ve got a £5 jp version, you`d probably require a chip upgrade.

Thanks for the replys :)

I have learned from Bencrest (in another post) how to dump the hopper but it won't refill using the key you have to press the "hopper topped up" button so it says I have £125 in there when there is only about £40

My jackpot is £5 I have bid on a varaible percentage key on eBay so I take it it will not work ?

Cheers

... Can't remember if I'm right in saying this but you may have to have a door open (say the bottom door) to enter refill mode?

It is part of a protection thing :)

Don't forget if this does make the machine go into refill mode (it'll display something like '£1 HOP BAL = £xxx' on the display), you'll need to dump the hopper by using the 'hopper dump' switch in the cashbox (while in Refill Mode) TWICE to reset the hopper balance to zero - THEN refill it, and your hopper balance should be ok :)

It did reset when I dumped the hopper but when I tried to re-fill it again the coin mech light was out and the pound coin just fell through the mech and out the coin return...

It thinks it's full now and putting pound coins in the cash boxes at the bottom..

I will have another go later tonight

Thanks again for your help

Still no sign of a manual anyone ? :)
