been a member here for over 2 years now (no medal required), have a fair arcade on my laptop with thanks to all who have put the effort in,
i myself have only a few problems...
i cant use photoshop which i believe is how you make your layouts i would very much like to resize certain games as i cant on my resolution,
is there a manual on how to make a machine?
flyers?-- are these pictures of work in progress?
how do you do it?
ie/ is there a dummies guide to f m emulation???
also i can't find a rom for partytime and can i enlarge?

I believe there is a layout guide at http://www.dead-world.net or why not try buttering up one of the local layout designers.

Hi Woodsy, don't forget that MFME3 actually resizes the layouts so that they fit your desktop.
However, as Duplu says, it's very satisfying if you put the effor in yourself to make a layout. takes a while to get used to, but damn good fun.
As for Photoshop, Most people do use this, but if you check out my Club Coronation Street (with Club Monopoly roms as the proper roms weren't avaliable at the time). This was achieved with Macromedia Fireworks.
Basically, find an art package you like and explore the possibilities... Rome wasn't built in a day... (who ever said it was???)

The layout Duplu is refering to is a layout GUIDE... tells you how to create a layout from a pic.
There is a Party type hybrid out there but not the real thing. Nice tho

i take it there are certain machines you are not allowed to emulate or are denied access to the roms etc.
how does it all work i understand it would be bad judgement to allow a brand new machine to be emulated, will we be able to emulate the newer video machines or vivid's red games.
also it appears to me that most of the games if not all are chipped and not p1.

LoL... these are emulations and as such have an effective FULL hopper all the time. Yes it plays good and bad, but thats based on the money in money out ratio, and the percentage settings on the machine.
Take machines like (can't remember if this has tho) Up,Up and Away.
There is a feature where you get to stop the wheel on a high number and that is your prize.. (12 being £6) however, 1 or 2 gives you 60p or £1 which gets added to the bank and says... you can do better... try again.
This feature will repeat forever if you keep hittin these numbers. Therefore emptying the machine. However, in emulation it'll just run til you're out of credits or bored. lol

Isn't there a tutorials page on this website? I think if you go to the home page and look on the left, you should see a link to tutorials. I got my first emulation using it. I haven't checked if there is a guide to layouts but there might be.
