Is his name Niles?

Sounds like an Rcadia type muppet, who will probably offer to swap the Lucky Strike emptier for it :p

Regarding the 'pause'... why is this such a COMMON thing? I mean honestly...

How many people have had a feature on a machine they play for a while, press start, then there is a pause before the next spin of the reel and suprise suprise you land on a ?, same with gambling, low on an 11 with a delay before it spins gives you a 12.

Just to point out to you Daemon, the pause on a non-random machine (i.e typical pub £25 AWP) occurs because of the predetermined nature of the gamble. For a random machine to pause is a little weird... but I won't go into that.

That within the next couple of hours [if not already] you will see Emptiers for these machines on eBay I guess...

If I had an emptier for a random machine (Sec.16 say) I'd let the manufacturer know - for about £10000 :p

What concerns me is twofold -

1) I don't believe it is a genuine emptier, more of a method.
2) If it were an emptier, it'll blow the whole 'every credit has the same odds of winning as any other' claim out of the water.

EDIT - You mentioned Magic Games emptier? I thought these already had a rechip issued after it was found they had a streak built in?

Yes, but not random as in fully random. Much like a Party Games Slotto doesn't have a Random 'feature', it has a max of £25 and I'm pretty sure the amounts are fixed pre-gamble. The 'game' will be random, the 'feature' will be fixed, or something along those lines.

Still, find out more at ATEI I guess.

the goverment allowed all arcade owner, who had the original program, to keep it. (because the 7`s on £1 spin was £160 or above, it was said that it was too predictable!! i dont mind the 7`s rolling in!)

ive seen the new version.. awefull, just a £25+ repeat :(

Oddly, I have never played, or even seen a s16 machine (sheesh I need to get out more!), but I have my doubts as to their actuall randomness.

Why?

Mainly because

1. I dont trust any fruity manufacturer further than I can throw one of their machines.....
2. I cant find any info about the actual random number generators - this is a crucial part of the design, and the gambling board saying only that it needs to be external from the machine is absolutely useless. To prove randomness in theory, the least you would need to know is EXACTLY what is allowed as a random number generator, not all "random" numbers are random.
3. Info again, cant find much info on how much the machine is allowed to "interpret" the info from a RNG, pointless having it seperate, and totally random, if the machine just says, hey I dont like that number, send me another.....
4. Lack of regulation - as far as I know NO ONE checks out, nor regulates the source code for the machines, other than the manu, and the manu CANNOT BE TRUSTED TO BE HONEST.
5. The percentages for the reel payout winning combinations are not publicly available, are they available to machine owners? They often are in the states.....
6. Not sure what the "punishment" is if they were ever caught breaking the rules, but seeing as they never will be until the code is checked, its a daft point... But never the less, the profits from any possible rule breaking almost certainly outweigh any measly fine they may get. If it was a long stretch in prison for the directors, then that make me less suspicious.....

Hi kens place

If I were you i would keep it that way, I have seen them put one pound in one won it back played it back lost and walked away. These machines are the god damn evil of the fruitmachine world and other than some of them have a little sub game on a sepreate video screen, have no other interaction than to press the start button and watch your bank drop faster than a whores nickers, with the slight possibility thata jackpot may drop in and you might just win £500 quid. with most but not all you have to play at £2 a go to win the £500, ho yea and when you win the cash goes in the same bank you playing from, so even if you win small amounts if you not careful youer winnings can be played back before you have noticed. Ho yea and i forgot to mention there random, which basicly means after you have stood there for all of 10 mins and lost your entire months wages, your wifes wages the kids pocket money and all the cash you got when you mugged the old woman who had just got the Party time arena to streak for £120, as your leaving with overwheming urge to top yourself, you can at least walk out knowing that the local shark who has been stalking you while you have done the above has about as much chance of the thing paying out as you had, and in 10 mins he will be walking out just a broke as you. Unlike if you had done much the same on (insert your fave lo tech name here), where he would have walked out with all of your cash. But the one thing you can count on is that the arcade owner is just about to put deposit down on a new Porche.

Please note i am out of rant streak mode and will return to normal posting

Please note i am not sanctioning the mugging old ladys who win to fund the conitnued playing of any S16 machine, as its A) stoopid, B) gonna get you arrested, C) A Party Time Arena is never gonna streak for £125 pounds.

classic line lol
Dwight: I'm Shellie's new boyfriend and I'm out of my mind. If you so much as talk to her or even think her name, I'll cut you in ways that'll make you useless to a woman.
Jack Rafferty: You're making a big mistake, man. A *big* mistake.
Dwight: You made a big mistake yourself... you didn't flush.
