Hi guys!

I've been caught doing 99mph on the M4 this week.

Any idea what punishment I can expect? If it's a ban, I'm f***ed.

Cheers :)

erm!! i would say a ban, but u may get away with a hefty fine and alot of points 6 maybe, if u would of reached 100 then i'll of entered you for the next grand prix...lol

80 to 90 u might of got away but 99 then i would expect a punishment.

is it your first driving offence?

Ummm... I would normally say you were a stupid cu*t and hopefully you'll get everything you deserve.

Anyway, seeing as how it's you, I'm not sure.

I'd think if you went to a driving seminar of some type you'd get away with a fine and about 6 points? I don't drive though so can't say for sure.

You may want to hire that lawyer that gets all those footballers off. Or become a policeman, then you would simply be 'getting accustomed to the limits of the car' or some other shite.

Don't do it again :D

In the letter the bastards told me to fill in the form and return it in the stamped addressed envelope provided.

But there was no stamp on it, so that's another 26 f*****g pence!

i wouldn't be bothered about how much the stamp cost. i'll be more bothered about what its gonna end up costing u e.g license + fine or maybe a ban

You are sailing very close to the wind.

If you were doing over 100 (30mph over the legal limit) you could have expected a ban.

As you were doing 99 (29mph over the limit) expect points and a fine. A word of advice dont contest it otherwise you will incur additional costs.

If you already have points then hope you get as few points as possible for this. From memory I think it is between 3 and 6. The fine could be anything up to a maximum of £5000.

I hope this helps, good luck mate.

I got caught by a camera doing 51 in a 40 on the a127 in essex and got 3 points and £60 fine.

but i dont know what youd get for 99, think it depends on how much over you are they could just give you a ban.

included a pic of me getting caught, sorry for that bad image the batteries have run out in the other cam.

Andy

I'm waiting to find out what I'm gonna get. Got caught doing 82 mph on a motorway. Sun was shining, motorway was quiet, excellent driving conditions.

82 mph!!!!!!! :(

I expect to get 3 points & £60 penalty.

What you need is a friend in the US or somewhere abroad who will say they were driving your car with your permission. They never bother tracking down foreign drivers. Someone I used to work with managed to pass on about 15 points in 3 years like that

Just make sure that when the photos turn up they dont show your face.

A little help......

They work it out by giving you 10%+/-2mph for a "£60 3pointer", however, anywhere over 90 and they are entitled to take away your liscense for 6 months to about 3 years.

My mates dad is the senior policeman in charge of the local constabulary.

Hope this helps :)
Dwight: I'm Shellie's new boyfriend and I'm out of my mind. If you so much as talk to her or even think her name, I'll cut you in ways that'll make you useless to a woman.
Jack Rafferty: You're making a big mistake, man. A *big* mistake.
Dwight: You made a big mistake yourself... you didn't flush.

yeah exactly the point i was trying to show i was 11mph over hes 29mph over, i was tying to say i got 3 points and £60 for 11 and i wonder how much he will get for 29 cos its a big difference, well in the eyes of the law.

i wonder what would have happened if i got caught doing 130mph on the m25 testing out the top speed of my car (i only did it becuase it was safe to do so at night with no cars on the road).

yes but, kallam was on the motorway and u was caught on camera on a busy town/city road, that makes a big difference c90 from your photo u have more chance of killing a child on 1 lane than kallam on a motorway with 4 lanes. if u know what i mean but looking at the pic again that was a dual carrigeway u was on
