Hi, I am new to this site! so firsty HELLO! lol

I have a rom saved on my PC for the old eastenders fruit machine! it is a .gam file! Which emulator do I need to use for it? I am looking for a few others roms to!

Corrie - the rovers return
The Big Breakfast - Maygay
Battle Axe - Barcrest

Not sure about the battle axe one though as it may be too recent?

Many Thanks!

MFME 2 should run it for you, the rovers return (brilliant machine, ooo the memories of a holiday to wales years ago are seeping back) is on this site, im not sure if the big brekie has been done yet and battle axe is mpu5, so wont be done for a long time.

You will find MFME 2 in the downloads section, under emulators.

Hi and welcome to the site Glen

firstly for eastenders you will need mfme v2
http://www.fruit-emu...ads&showfile=21

Corrie the rovers return has been done it will be in the downloads section under m1a dx layouts.

i dont think the big breakfast has been done yet due to issues with the hi lo reel. anyone else on here can confirm this

and Battleaxe is to new to be emulated and runs on mpu5 which is unemulated technology and will be for some time.

hope that helps

I'm really sorry! I'm new to this and having so many probs!

I have managed to get the corries and ee layouts on! but they dont seem to be active, no flashing or movement! it also keeps complaining about the no sound file thing! maybe a step by step instruction?

i forgot to say this layout is configured for an older emulator what you will need to do is click on configuration and alter the speed setting add a few numbers until you get the desired speed its in the bottom left hand corner.

have you extracted the layout and rom files to the same directory they need to be.

ok we have ee working now! but I still cant get corrie to work! It says it cant find the corrie rom file, but I have put all the corrie files i received into one folder! it also says it cant find the sound file!!! I cant understand it! was the download missing some files. The corrie file i downloaded has:

the gam file
a realplayer file
a dat file!

ok at least you are getting somewhere

heres the rom for corrie rr
http://www.fruit-emu...s&showfile=1024

normally when you download a layout file it will need the corresponding rom file to go with it sometimes they are included with the layout file sometimes not and again extract the rom file to the same folder as the layout.

Andy

anything you need is in the download section

You'd be better off playing Corrie on MFME1.1 because there are numerous errors when playing Maygay machines on MFME2.0

The Big Breakfast is a BFMulator machine. So you will need to use BFMulator 2.05 test version to play it.

It's in the emulator downloads section somewhere.

The reason it isn't finding the rom or layout is because the wording in the gam file is incorrect.

Make sure the bottom four lines of the .gam file are exactly the same as the layout and rom names or it will not work correctly.

You can open the .gam file and change the lines using notepad.
