More to the point, I'd be interested in what you think it does. If you want to see how much had been put back into the machine (refilled) or adjust the volume, then using a refil key is just dandy.

If you think you've found a secret way of manipulating the machine then let me know and I'll send you my refill key for a few grand ;)

As for attracting attention, well if you were using one next to me in an arcade then yeah, you'd get plenty!!

On a Barcrest from 2001 on say you'd be lucky if you got anything other than 'REFILL' shown on the display - and of course the usual volume adjustment :)

Last note in can also be shown if machine has a note acceptor.

Not sure why that would be useful, as it doesnt say when the note was put in, so you cant claim you put the note in, as it could have been put in hours ago....

So when you say you are a "player" and "Shut up Todd you idiot..you obviously dont know how to play a Red"..I win all the time on these..What your actually doing is obtaining money by fraudulent means ?

Ie sticking a refill key in Extremes and the such likes to cheat the machines ?

Well good on ya mate..Anyone with half a brain can also do that..but on the whole anyone with any sense wont..because if your caught its either a police matter or you get taken out the back and left in a pool of blood and piss..Whatever comes first.

The Real Hustle actually did a feature on these. It's on You Tube. It's not very long and obviously staged. They put the key straight in and bob's your uncle. Obviously the arcade or whatever knew about is cos you can't miss a ruddy great BBC camera lol But they are careful to warn that use of them is illegal and can set off an alarm. So the bloke says make sure you select a loud track on the jukebox down the pub before you use it lol

It does not set an alarm off on a fruit machine, i have been caugh with a refil key once they took it off me police turned up and in the end i got my key back because they realised they havent got the right to take it off me.

Hypers are only good for a couple quid can take hours to empty.

incorrect how your very wrong gary.

if u used a refill key on any machine in an arcade i am affraid the manager or owner has every right to confiscate that key, the police should of ceased that key from u. no if's no buts u intended to steal information from a machine that did not belong to u so therefore its classed as theft!! end off

I think you were lucky that they called the police, I'm sure some people would of just giving you a beating. People can get a bit crazy where cash is concerned.

To add to that i did NOT say it sets off alarms on ALL machines i meant SOME. It IS theft and ILLEGAL to use one. Sorry for caps but someone isn't listening. As usual! If you could get away with it everytime, everyone would be using them. Correct?

Correct if it was that simple to walk into any arcade/pub with a key..stick it in the machine..dump the hopper then walk out..i dont i would be here somehow.
