I'm sure I can trust people on here to observe this silence, it is the very least that can be done to show our continuing solidarity, will allow us to reflect on the events, and if you don't do it because you can't be bothered I'll send Barcrest round to confiscate your PCs!

Looks like BBC and ITV are televising it as well, so if you aren't good with a watch you can just tune in :)

My brother was on that tube train,he wasnt hurt too much though, just a few cuts on his face, the worse thing he said was walking through the tunnel on his way out, whatever you hear about people screaming on the train when the lights went out is a load of tush,of course there were a few people starting to cry,etc but nothing like what was said in the papers,According to him,he was one of the only people on the tube train WITHOUT a camera mobile phone!!!!!!

We didnt even know he was on the tube till he phoned up on thursday afternoon!!!

Glad he is OK bbo firstly........In fact better you didn't know don't you think?, the worry that had saved.

Mabey the Media do enlarge the 'stories' a little....But this is not fiction, it's for real......I personally think the fact that 50+ people died for no reason is more important than judging the media.......

I think the thing we have to get straight here is that,London is not the only place where these horrific things could happen!,....the reality is that at any place from birmingham,ashford,brighton,cornwall,...anywhere in the UK!!!

I dont think this country will ever recover from these events, with regard to the bomber on the number 30 bus,he most probably accidentally let the bomb go off just by messing around in his rucksuck.Police have said that he might have been taking an alternative route other than the northern line, which CCTV cameras saw him entering a station, but as the main station was closed,he decided to go by bus,god knows where he was heading.......

Has anyone got any news about if they are still underground at kings cross station and what they are doing under there???

Todays silence was as much a tribute to those affected, as it was a showing of solidarity by England as a whole.

Theres a time and a place for being a tw*t, and it isn't here.

If you want to debate about stuff like that, feel free to fu*k off to somewhere like FruitForums and do it.

If you want to know the latest news, then you may as well check stuff like BBC and Sky News, www.bbc.co.uk and I think www.skynews.co.uk

I think he's referring to the silence rather than the actual event

Spent two silent minutes with some of my closest friends on a balcony at my 6th form overlooking some of the town. We're only about 8-10miles from where the blasts were... It was a moving moment...

I thought it was a testament to humanity that so many people from all over the world observed the silence too... not just Madrid, New York and Bali (who have all experienced terrorism themselves), but in cities everywhere including Paris, Sydney, Moscow.

Very moving... let us never forget.

A mate of mine knows a mate who knows a person who has been missing ever since the bombs, who was from Peterborough. Anybody who lives in or around p'boro has probably seen it in the local news, James Adams I think he's called.
