How do I earn my stars by my name and go up ranks from junior member?


My first layout(I hope) Hi Note DXCB (Deluxe Crazybar) coming slowly but surely! :D

This is a site for EMULATION purposes of older machines. Not playing strategies.

i sent my cheque but it got returned....apparently the Bank of Barcrest doesnt really exist....wonder if they take JPM credit Cards??

If you release a couple of layouts that are worthy, I'm sure you could be upgraded to Layout Designer, which I would guess gives you a minimum of about 4 Stars?

it does........being a layout designer or supporter doesnt effect the amount os stars you have, only the posts do!
i think the only things that effect your stars are if you a mod or admin.

besides am i missing something here......? do we win a mpu5 emulato or something when we get to 7 stars;) lol

Oops, sorry, I assumed [as was the old system], that say 1>4 was 'posters', 5 was designers, 6 was Mods and 7 was Admins, or something along those lines.

You do great work *ahem* DAD, so don't let lack of stars get you down :)

The stars get you to a certain level 4 stars...(which ever I am at atm lol) then to get anything higher you need to be a layout designer (Which I'm not :p ) then ONCE you have the highest level of stars a NORM can get, you go higher... Layout designers can go one higher.... then Mods one above... leaving the top slot for VIP and Admin...

so in short....
1 star = Non poster or new person
2 star = something like 100 posts?
3 star = something like 250 posts?
4 star is over 400 posts (I'm only guessing at this)
5 star is when a layout designer has over 400 posts
6 stars for MODs
7 for Gods etc ;)

OK... scrap that Idea as RB has 6 stars and Bencrest has 7... I dunno how it works.

I guess Ben gets 7 stars for his post level of.... well... 50% of the total forum posts lol

Heh, Just a bit of fun on my part. I knew exactly how stars were alocated as its the same at DADsFME Forums. An Admin can set them at whatever levels they want for the number of posts a member makes, so in theory a member who's made 10 posts could have maximum stars.

I do however like the status of Layout Designer even though I don't knock 'em out quite a much these days. A new one IS on the way though ;)

Yeah 'cos you never visit my site ;) Mind you at the time of writing its down - BLOODY free hosting is SO unreliable lol

I'm sure it'll be back soon after more important sites decide to give me my bandwidth back.

Anyway the WIP is a 1280 WDX of Supa Steppa using pics kindly donated by Altharic (who DOES contribute to the scene despite consistent critisism's by members of this site who don't know any better), and using Pete W's classic :)

Hopefully should be complete within the week and released after the usual testing. Great machine which I'm really enjoying doing!

Sorry to hijack the thread........

........and now back to the stars ;)
