Hi,

What did I just buy? :)

My background is in older Bally EM slots, and I've also done a lot of work fixing and restoring electronic pinball machines, and I decided I wanted to have a play around with a more modern fruit machine.

So I found this not far away on Ebay and I think the price was OK... It's a Club Casino Crazy

Like the Bally slots and pinball machines, I want to dig in and understand it better. So I paid my annual subs here, hope someone can help with the first dumb questions!

I think this is a JPM machine, although I've also found reference to Crystal (I didn't pick it up yet). Which is it?

Is a manual and/or schematics available somewhere, either as paper or to download?

Common things to check/fix? For example I know a lot of machines have a battery on the MPU, that's the same with pinball and removing to a remote battery pack is a good idea?

It has a £250 jackpot. How much money should be in the machine to make it worth playing?

The coin mech will need updating to the new £1 etc, is that something I can do or should I send the mech off to someone?

Just trying to get myself some grounding before I start my fruit machine journey.

thanks for any help

Mark

Hi Mark

I used to have a Bally EM, and the odd pinball myself. Now I stick to PC emulation with a hopper box and button set up.

RE: Your questions. It is JPM. It is also in the download section as an MFME layout - https://www.fruit-em...crazy-club-wdx/so you can play it on your PC while you wait for it.

For technical stuff like manuals, flyers and guidance, fruitemu.co.uk would be the best place to ask. This site is more emulation orientated, but there are some very knowledgably people who frequent this site too:)

Common stuff to check before you plug the machine after transit is pretty standard, as anything can come loose, like Mechs, tubes, plugs, boards ect. Go round everything to make sure everything is snug.

Your float is up to you. I would stick 250 pound coins in, and 10 pound in 20ps, then use your own money to try and win the jackpot. By the time you win the jackpot, the bottom will probably start filling up.

The coin mech will need re-programming if it does not take new pound coins. Take it to a local operator and see if they will program it for you, or do a mech exchange for beer money.

Enjoy your new hobby twist:)
