Hi all,

I was browsing eBay the other day when I stumbled across a Rainbow Riches Murphy's Millions MPU6 machine. It was being sold for spares and repairs from a local Care home and was only sitting at £1 with no bids on it. I messaged the seller who said I could have the machine for free as they have no idea how to fix it and just wanted it gone.

I went and picked the machine up and had it working in 15 minutes! RTC error. Battery had died so I replaced it and ran a RAM test to clear any errors. Machine fired up and away the machine goes! A nice free machine with a really easy fix.

The only annoying issue I am dealing with now, is that I cant get the top door to fully lock. If i go to slide the little round lock bar thing across, it only goes about 3/4 of the way, which means when I turn the key to release it, it doesn't go all the way and I can't remove the key.

If i have the top door open and slide the bar across, the lock goes all the way up into it's little section and the key pops out nicely.

So, is there any obvious thing that I should be checking as to what may be stopping the bar going all the way across with the door shut? Is there anyway to adjust the bar etc?

2nd question

Is there a way to set the machine, so that when I put £1 coins into it to play, the coins automatically go into the hopper? or isn't this something that fruit machines do? Everytime i stick a coin in, it automatically goes into the cash box at the bottom of the machine. I have an Scorpion 4 DOND dream factory which does the same thing, no matter what I try I can't get the coins to direct into the hopper even when in refill mode.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ash

You could file the tab off the key, we used to do it in the arcade.
You will have to dump the hopper it must think it is full, surprised it's doing it still off a ram clear though.

I had one of these cabinets before with the same problem. The doors are a nightmare. I had to kinda pull the door forward and down quite hard so it pulled further over the locking mechanism. Soon got rid of it. Hope you sort it

All I ever needed to do with mine was push down on the door whilst moving the slide across.

Mine was knackered though.🤣 it had a small crack in the top plastic and apparently it's a fairly common fault with these .

If i put it into refill mode the H is saying 0 but F is saying £250. i'm guessing it thinks the hopper is empty and float possibly 250?

I'll see if pulling it forward will help!
