Hi all: I got the following Problem on my Swiss Barcrest mpu4 Machine. I want to upload 1000 Credits (Keycredit) on the Machine. Then an Audio Alarm started, and on the Display show the Message "METER ALM". Now the Machine cannot go into the normal Game Mode. Should i use the Clear-Program now??? Thanks for any Help, Greetings: Marco.

hello marco
i assume the meter inside this machine is the mechanical meters down beside the cashbox.
what you will have is the cash in meter will have become faulty so will have to get a replacement 12v meter but before you do this just make sure the connector for this meter has not become loose or unplugged.
if it looks like it is plugged in ok then you will need a replacement 12v meter.
hope this helps.
also this has nothing to do with clearing the program.

or just try swoping the cash in meter with the cash out meter. if fault clears then it was a faulty meter, if fault does not clear then it was not a fault. cant remember off the top of my head, but didnt the mpu4 machine have a fuse for the meters? (in the psu i think)

I just reset the RAM-Memory of my Machine now, and disabled the Key-Credit Option. Then the Machine asks me for the Start-up-Code. I call the Swiss Manufacturer of this Machine, and he tells me the Numbers, who will start-up the Machine again. And then...IT WORKS!!! My Fruity boot, and now i can loose my Money again at home...*lol*, so thanks for any Helping comments on this Thread, and a many Greetings from Swiss...Marco.

Never had a working mpu4 machine, what is this start up code that was mentioned? Do they all have it? Is it like a security code that prevents the machine operating if the ram is cleared/prog card changed/whatever?

There are only two Machines (i know) who asks you for a Start-up Code. The idea is, if someone steal the Machine from an Operator (many Machines were stolen from Pubs!!!), he cannot use it a long Time, without the Code. Once the Battery is empty, mpu4 faulty or similar defects, the Machine show you for example: 5DD2 8B3C, then you must enter the right Code, and the Machine will reboot. ...sorry for my Bad English, i think it sounds horrible...:-) Greetings Marco.
