Played these in pubs a few times, never put much in them just play them for a board really.

Whenever I get the Deal or No Deal like feature, every time I dont go to the end and take the first or second offer, it almost always flashes £100 or £35 telling me thats what I would of won.

Do you guys think this is actually true? Or do you think its a lie to make you keep playing the machine?

A lie!, got to be, why not put a reel back instead!

yes, thats what it spun. on some machines you can see bits of dust or a hair etc. which it a good way of knowing whats in their or more to the point its not spun off.

Betcom's have to be the worst machines ever, I cringe when I see 'super feature next board' knowing it'll cost about £15 to get it.

I don't play much nowadays, but I must say I do dislike the Betcoms. Sliding down the snakes (or equivalent symbol) before start feature, dozens of times. The gamble goes to lose from 50p - £3 wins, dozens of times on the trot, to stop the exchange. The pay symbol on the reels gives £1 or £2, after £10 worth of spins and a decent looking feature board is wiped.

 

Then after sucking £15 - £30 for a board, they offer £5 if you are lucky.

 

Still enjoy, seeing them emulated though.

 

EDIT........In answer to the original question, I guess they can do what they want. Is the jackpot would have been your prize an indication of how good a mood the machine is in. On DOND machines with a reel, it seems to vary as to whether that means it's in a good mood or not.
