Hi, just re-downloaded Adder5 Golden Winner from DIF, can someone explain what the difference between a slot machine (say Epoch), and a video slot is (Say this one I've got from DIF) and a FOBT is? The way Reg's written the description is slightly weird as I'd say the stakes and everything on golden winner and pink panther, well... it confuses me. I just want to know what the difference between all 3 of these types of machines are? I thought each machine _even MPU3/4) would use video. Bit of a dum stupid question I know. Kind regards, Tom.

There are reel based machines, physical reels that spin and there are video based machines where reels spin on the screen like MFME uses.

 

FOBT is a video slot also, just with bigger stakes and offers games such as casino roulette online betting. - Think i am right with this one.

 

Most techs used Video screens one time or another, well they did from around the Mpu4 time for SWP (Skill) games.

 

Some newer techs also used RTV - Reel to video where physical reels spin etc but the feature board will be partially or fully on a video screen (Lcd display)

there is no difference between reels and video of the same fruit machine. the perception is that reels are not rigged.

 

fobt games are not online, however the result of the roulette is obtained online rather than internally. roulette is random, where as a `fruit machine` is compensated and thus able to hit a specific %
