After adding 4 fruity's to my collection over the last year (originally only 1), I've decided I'd like to better understand how everything works together and in particular how the mainboard functions.

I've bought a few damaged boards to have a play with and have got a copy of the schematics (thanks to whoever put the MPU4 stuff in downloads and especially to the member on here who didn't rip me off with the boards).

I've been following the threads on board repairs and would like to ask a couple of questions (well 3 actually).

1. I'm assuming the fibre pen thing is to get all of the green coating off? If so what is the best type to use?

2. Do you just make the replacement tracks out of wire bent to shape? (I've looked online and people seem to use electrically conductive paint).

3. Once the repair is complete, what is the green coating that is put back on and where is the best place to buy it?

Thanks in advance

Dave
