Hi, my first post, only found the site a few days ago. I didnt know FME exsited either. But now here, I am on an excellent site and forum, with lots of interesting threads etc.
I would also like to have a go at making a layout, but I dont know where to start. I have tried looking in the gallery for flyers etc. I couldnt find anything, I have also searched on google for flyers or artwork and visited manufacturers sites. I dont know the first thing about making a layout. I think i could do the artwork quite simply but then after that, I dont think i would have a clue.
The machine i would like to do is rollercoaster, a 1280WDX.
I cant really find any tutorials for Jpmeu. I have looked at scorpios MFME tutorial, it might have confused me?
If i were to make the 1280WDX, could I use the artwork and then apply it to a rom? I do not understand how it works but would i assign lights to light numbers in the rom? This might be a load of rubbish, and most likely is.
What about reels? would i have to make my own as its 1280, or is there 1024 reels about that i would edit.Or a standard reel which is used for both.
Could I apply my artwork to someone elses version? i.e. remove the layout then place in my own
There is probably more i would like to ask but cant remember as it 5:30am.
Thanks
Justin

Try over on dead-world.net, they have some excellent, easy to follow guides for all formats.
Well I jumped into the river
Too many times to make it home
I'm out here on my own, an drifting all alone
If it doesn't show give it time
To read between the lines

Why don't you start with something nice and easy....a little lo tech, cloud 999 or similar.
OK this has been done a million times I know, but as number One it will be a great stepping-stone....not much lamping etc, even use a classic already done to assist you.

Yep great One.
Talk to Hurtand165 nicely and he may even have the Art still somewhere.
Really think you would benefit taking steps.

I suppose its better if I start with a simpler machine, I did want to jump straight in with a hi tech machine. Probably too much work for a first time.
