are there any roms out there for this £15 version that don,t contain the showtime feature??

I've been playing the other one and only realised on Saturday that when it whistles and flashes the Wink Wink there's a secret nudge to give you a prize.

I just thought it was some sort of fancy "attract" feature when you play.

Can't the 'showtime' feature be disabled via dip switch?

Got another set running now, but not tested yet.

I was thinking it might be a dip switch as well.

Wonder if there is a manual for the showtime boxes, I've seen them on loads of machines in the late 90's. I never like them to be honest.

Sure I did a layout for this some years ago. Couldn't get rid of the Showtime feature at that time.

Wasn't there a non gold version that was £15 jackpot. Maybe Nudge Nudge Wink Wink Classic or Casino in the same cab? It would play the same. Maybe this Gold Edition is a dedicated Showtime version?

Not having much luck, tried all the dil switches & roms still showtime, looked at nudge wink classic roms & there all P1 files 64kb?.

And dont know which is which or if P2 is missing.

Those roms will be MPU4, it came out late 90's on £10 and £15 around this time. The Gold Edition is likely MPU5. Might have to just include the 'showtime' feature.

Yes mpu5, dont know if to release it or not as is, as its not a bad looking dx

I have edited the decals so now it will be released on £10 mpu4.

The Showtime feature depends on whether an additional MUX5 board is present for the Topbox lamps. If it's there it's Showtime. MFME currently assumes all boards are present.

 

I have added a config option to MPU5 to disable the ShowTime feature.
