I know these started at £8000 new, but was looking on a site that has a few avaliable for £995.

According to the Mecca when this guy bought one, he got games like New York New York, Mummy Money and Rocky for £995.

Now I've seen others up for £1495 for games like Grand Casino, New York, Montys Millions and other really old games.

I'm not the best in the business, but I do know my stuff when it comes to B3's, so can't understand how a company can justify £500 extra for similar games in exactly the same cabinet?

Fine if they came with the latest software games and up to date games, I would understand the rise, but it doesn't even have Golden Charms on it and THAT's old.

Can anyone advise on this, or are some of these gaming companies simply ripping us off, as was thinking of buying one but can't justify £1495, plus delivery?

If this relates to JNC then there's VAT and delivery (unless you collect) on top of that price.

Oh and I was offered the Pot Slots one in December for £1395 plus vat and delivery, so they added an extra 100 quid on the price since then, robbing sods!

Edited to add it was Sam Coleman who I was dealing with

1.5k is a fair price as the arcades can make the money back on of these in a month but don't forget compabys price up there's machines for trade not public

Yeah, it is JNC Chasnbons.

Forgot to mention it earlier as I was having a rant!!!

How you been anyway, all good mate?

I was dealing with someone called 'Reece' and he said do you know how much these were new?

I said yes I do thankyou.........£8000 and he shut up!!!!

Even so, £1495 plus vat and delivery is way too steep for a Triple 7.

How old are they now? I know they are getting on a bit, probably very used/tired and shitty games no-one wants on them.

Yeah......£1495 bargain isn't it?

That's fine Nails, if the more expensive one had a RR, but it was £500 more for the same old games.

How do you justify a Rocky content at £995 with a POG included, then a £1495 with New York New York, Mummy Money and Monty's Millions?

Correct me if I am wrong but a POG or a Rocky makes more money?

Your also forgetting that these can be MPU5 or MPU6 so the price can vary even tho they are still a T7

My mate sold his about 9 months ago for 4k  and people on here thought he would never get that but it sold within a day, although to be fair it was well worth the money

Great condition with 14 or 15 fully working games on the mecca menu and on MPU6

ALL T7 are only worth what someone wants to pay for the configuration that its on.

Rainbow Riches Seasonal £500
WPT Tour £500
New York New York £500
Mummy Money £500

This is why someone mentioned to grab them quick I think.

Because the later software won't be avalaible, is that right?

Am I right in saying all/most arcades now will have to pay a monthly fee to have these games?

I have heard they are going rental only so if you get one, make sure it has the games you want on it. You can play them all in demo, but not the same.

Cheers Spa, that's what I thought.

Does anyone have any idea when this new legislation is going ahead?

I know they said if you want one, grab it quick, but how quick?

Can anyone enlighten us as to what's going to happen exactly and how it's going to work for personal ownership machines?

Basically, does it mean once you buy one with certain games, that's it, you are stuck with them permanently and can't change them?

Nobody knows for certain unless you work for IGT.

It's not going to be legislation in law, but policy I would have throught from them.  It makes better business to rent then sell.

As to how quick, my advice is do it now.  I would have thought that there will be a sharp increase in price in the future.

Personal games you can never change, they are licensed.  IGT will not sell you a permenant license ( or any ) to the public.  As Spa rightly says, buy one with games that you will be happy with for a long time ahead.

IE - Don't get one if it's got three versions of rainbow riches.  You need to vary your fun.  That being said, I've been playing all kinds of games I don't own in demo mode, I consider this an emulator in essense as well.  So save with the real games and enjoy the rest. :)
