Hi all,

First off - Happy Christmas everyone

I bought one of these machines as it as local to me, and quite cheap, and thought from the description it was an easy fix

http://www.fruitemu....pub-last-night/

Turns out, not so simple, the board uses SMC components, and although I think I have traced the fault, and ordered the required chip, I think there could be other things wrong with it.

So - plan B, thought I would try and source a replacement board, speaking to Tony (Dr Slots) he says that you have to get the correct Pluto 6 board, as they made different ones for different manufacturers, JPM, Astra, and others, although they look physically the same

This machine is made by Empire Games

The current board boots, so I have working GAL / FPGA chips (and the tool to remove them)

I tried Heber for buying a new board, but can't supply

I could sent it to them to be repaired, £63.80 they charge

I could send it to Maggi Maggi - they list on their website for this board £35.00 for a repair

Faults are / were, Reel 1 fails to index, alpha display sometimes no display (power cycle and it's fine) and now comes up with 'unknown coin' on boot

Think a new board would be a easier solution

Thanks if anyone can help,

Paul
