I have just bought club crazy fruits, but there is a fault on the display (look at attached image)

the top display is missing the top line

this is also the case with the 2 buttons (takes nudges) and (take shoots) but with the button the 1st digit is displayed correctly, but the 2nd the top line is missing. (e.g if it should be displaying 17, you would see 11! but if it should be displaying 77 you would only see 71)

any ideas on how to fix this problem, its a SCORPION 4 board!

thanks

Get a really big sledge hammer and swing it at it, then there would be no ploblem of viewing 71 instead of 77, oh wait you wouldnt be able to see nothing at all lol.

Sounds to me like physical damage - or hopefully just a loose connection. Having not worked on that kind of thing before, all I could recommend would be :

a) Turn machine off, open top door,
B) At the back of the display thats faulty, remove the plug leading to it, and whereever that plug sits [I'm assuming it goes directly onto the Scorp4 board?]
c) Reconnect the plugs
d) Turn machine back on

If that doesn't work, I don't know what will. Still, several engineers visit these forums so if it doesn't work I'm sure someone else can help :)

if the fault is happening on all digit displays then i beleive you need a replacement scorpion 4 board.

i cant remember if this machine has a seperate digit display board but i dont think it does.

if it was happening on just 1 of the displays then it may just have been some dry joints on the actual display but if its happening on all the displays then its probably the scorpion 4 board.

check the cabling with a multimeter if you have one, make sure one of the cables is not broken, or has a bad connector.

If its not the cabling, then your stuck with what baz said (and as baz does it for a living, its probably that anyway, but always worth a shot at looking for something else)
