My whole screen has started shaking like bloody hell and i can barely see anything. I've tried a different graphics card and updated drivers from nvidia but no luck. Any suggestions would be very grateful
Sorry for any spelling mistakes i can barely see what i'm writing thanks.

Could be the monitor itself !
Have you tried doing a degauss or changing the refresh rate ?
Or maybe something recently installed is causing the problem, try putting your OS disk in (XP choose UPGRADE) to reinstall system files.
Hope this helps some.

Make sure theres no main transformers for say scanner, speaker positioned next to the monitor. When I had this problem is was the transformer for my subwoofer kit underneath the back of the monitor

As ben said, depends on what you after. If you just want a CRT monitor then you can pick them up for very little. The Computer Shop usually has 17" ones in stock you can pick up for bout £40- £50 quid. But if you want to splash out a bit more then get a nice flat screen TFT but it will cost a bit more.
If you want then go a bit further and get yourself a TFT-TV monitor. Could cost between £150 and £250 for 17" to 20" but they are worth it. Combines your TV and Monitor into one so makes for a cracking space saver.
