Really pee'd off atm!!!

As some of you know I'm working on Elvis goldrush, well I completed both the OFF and ON artworks but when I came to save the ON art for the second time Photoshop crashed and wouldn,t save the image, when It eventually woke up it deleted the already saved (1st time) on art. Its not in the recycle bin, its disappeared is there any way I can retrieve this via the computer's merory as in backup or something. if so any help is much appreciated .

Sh*t Happens. The only way I know is to go back to a known 'Restore Point', it's not always the answer, but worth a try. If it has been deleted, as long as it hasn't been overwritten, there might be a chance that a 'Recovery Programme' might be able to rescue it from oblivion!!!!

Good Luck Vecs

restore point doesn't bring back deleted personal files like jpg files, mp4 etc etc .

It's fine now restarted artwork oooppppss!!!

Although with my searching I found a neat little program called "recuva" which does find lost images/photo's etc from the depth's of your computer.

Better bet (going forwards) is to use something like Dropbox for all your files.

Install it on your phone as well and it'll take care of photos etc as well.

Paid for version allows you to restore old copies of files which is handy for accidental overwrites...

If you're on Windows 7 you might also setup shadow copies on you C drive which makes snapshots of your data. Not as good, but also handy...

Another thing completely different, my laptop keeps asking me to upgrade to Windows10. Do I do this? will it affect my computer or make it better???

Your PC will run much better and with the Windows Store available too - you'll perhaps find more tools in your learning curve to help you with FME layouts :)

You'll not look back :)

I've used recovery programs on corrupted SD cards, it's amazing how much data is still there after it has been deleted. The data when deleted has a (write)tag so it can be written over at a later date. As I said in my previous post, if that is not the case the data can be recovered, hopefully intact!!!! As mention a back up is the answer whilst W.I.P., so you won't lose hours of work.
