Is there anyway that i can access a ROM for CASINO CRAZY FRUITS at all?

Hi,

I guess it depends on what you need it for

It can't be emulated, as it uses an unemulatable Bell Fruit Scorpion [4?] platform, although there are layouts of it on this site which use the Club Fast Fruits QPS / JPM ROM.

If you need it for an actual machine, I'm not sure. I don't believe that ROMshare has Fruit Machine ROMs anymore... maybe someone on here has some ROMs? Also, BFM may have a BBS service which you could use to get ROMs. You would need to be a proper registered operator to have access to those though

I'll agree it wasn't the best netiquette, but there is a chance that he wants the ROMs for something other than emulation, and I thought it was fair to give him a chance to reply..... obviously not though

Not fully back to work as that was quite tame.

If he had of posted something like " OI bitches i want psycho cash beast emulated and ready to play tonight" then i'd of layed into him big time.

His post was along the same lines but not as harsh, still winds me up when people sign up download everything available, cant find a machine they want and dont even start with Thanks or Hello, Thanks for spending all the money you do on bandwidth so i can download your layouts etc..... ooh it drives me mad...

I assumed he meant the Club Crazy Fruits, not Casino Crazy Fruits. My bad.

I hate Casino Crazy Fruits, last time I played one I had nothing at all for my £25 stake, last spin gave 3 keys, which gave a JP straight away. I added another credit hoping that I'd caught it on a streak, but no such luck

This is one of the reasons I would never ask a favour or question to someone on here as this often or not is the reply you get!

Oh and before you ask, I may not have many posts to my name but ive been here for a few years, had a previous problem with my account so had to sign up again thats why I dont have a near 7000 posts lol!

I see where your coming from Buckslad but believe me thats not harsh, when i am being harsh its worth a read.

I just hate it when people take this site for granted, the layout designers spend their time making a machine available for people to download and there are rare times when people will actually create a topic to say excellent work.

The hard work goes unapreciated here but we cant ask all the people who just download and never post to be more kind as some are and some never appear for months until they think ooh psyco cash beast was the same time as this.

Jolly good work to all you layout designers, fruit-emu moderators and people who contribute in the forums but lets not forget a big Thumbs up for Duplu for hosting such a great resource for all the gambler-holics out there now saving their pennies by playing the emulated versions.

I voted no as well, whenever i go to ff (and to a lesser extent the mecca and mfme.co.uk) i always feel like it is a cliquey sort of site, i have never felt truely comfortable posting there.

This thread here:- http://www.fruit-emu...c&p=33129#33129 asks virtually the same question as the initial poster on this current thread. Same amounts of posts and more or less identical requests. This time, a civilised answer and no insults.

The difference is the poster asks for something that is emulatable. I'd hate to be canned and insulted simply because I wasn't clued up on wether my request was for something emulated or not. This thread could have been started with innocent intentions.

There's probably only so many times you can answer the same question with the same amount of control.

As for this being a newbies site, well I do enjoy visiting the "Bunch of Fruits Forums", as there can be some good stuff to read once you wade through the crap and "text speak" (wot u up 2 m8, likes, luk @ my car, its got 17 lites and 33 dials, im d'man ), but I'd visit here or MFME.co.uk first if I wanted to talk about anything FME related.

I think this thread is proof positive that one large forum wouldn't work.

But that is down the the 'customers' you get here. To me this site has two very seperate parts. One the news, downloads section which is bar non the best for downloading layouts etc and two these forums. Now IMO the reason why the forums are littered with ridiculous requests and tbh blunt and sometimes nasty replies is because of the nature of the other side of the site. Where you have a 'first visit from Google' download it all must sign up to download site you are going to get all the 'dodgy' punters, you know the like give it all to me, can I have this as well, when is this coming out - that is the nature of the beast and unfortunately you are going to get the sorry to say this 'dregs of society.' If you force folks to sign up to download then a great deal of them feel the need to post if they want anything. The mentality here is that way I'm afraid. The do not want the history of the scene, they do not want to know how hard it is to do xyz, all they want is Crazy Fruits, PCB or whatever so they can sell the Cds or try to find emptiers. How many of the huge member base here actually contribute to the continuation of FME by actually giving something back? Very very few I would imagine. I know this does not cover ALL members but to me a fair few of the posters here are just kids out to get what they can at whatever cost without giving anything back. It is sad.

'Bunch of Fruits Forums' LMAO...are you suggesting some sort of homosexual type activity amoung some of the members over there? As for text speak there, dear God have you not read this place? AFAIK the only main txt speaker is Russ, okay it is an arse but he is the only one, far far more of it goes on here, you should read some of the PMs I have to try to understand with regards to DVDs. When you have kids you are going to get txt speaking, you get a lot of kids here.

TBH A merged forum WITHOUT these forums would work fine because when the scene did split it mainly went from FF to MFME etc. Here is the members of the scene in the main that only know here, nowhere else. Sorry to say but I would prefer a much trimmed down Fruit-Emu with no forums and just news and downloads.

Yeah, I think that's what annoys sometimes.
There's a first poster today asking about a machine going back 20 years or so, and I'm sure that they'll get a decent response from people here, but the majority of new users first words seem to be "gimme".

Hehe, no, it's just what I've always called the place.
I have mentioned it in posts before.
And of course you're right about the kids, and it was mainly Russ that I was referring to.
Just reading his posts gives me a headache.
Shorthand text messaging is fine for mobile phones, but it amazes me how many kids are still too lazy to type complete sentences when they have a QWERTY keyboard in front of them.
Of course, things like LOL and ROFL can be useful, but when the whole sentence is dumbed down you really have to wonder.

So which site would you suggest be the only forum site?

If it was MFME.co.uk then some FF (or BOFF) members wouldn't like being moderated so much.
If it was FF, then some members here probably wouldn't like the unmoderated atmosphere.

Either way, I'd be along for the ride.
I'm sure it would be great fun one way or another.

AFAIK no ROMs will work with it. From memory, a user called Amber Nectar attempted to make a sit down 'Casino Crazy Fruits' machine, and it used some ROMs from Empire. Empire ROMs are 100% unavailable in the public domain [even I don't have any, but thats because I don't like Empire machines ] so even if you get the layout from this site, you won't get the ROMs from here
