I downloaded the fruit machine simulator 'MFME 9.4', and each time I try to load a game on it I get this error

 

"Failed to create key mfme".

 

Can anyone help with this  please? I really want to be able to play my old favourite games!

Right firstly what are you trying to load/play on this version on mfme, as some layouts will only play on this and some will only play on the likes of mfme3.2 etc.Also there's various tutorials on how to get mfme running etc.

Got the ROMs to work but they are too large for my laptop, is there a way to make them fit?

Again what are you trying to play on your laptop, if you're playing layouts in mfme10.1 and 9.4 then stick to the 1024's as anything above these ie 1280/1600's you'll only see the top half with the exception of a few lo tech 1280's like casino crazy fruits .
If it's a specific machine you're after playing and it's not available in 1024wdx Format I maybe able to make a smaller resolution layout if the resources are at hand.
