3d arcade is just a frontend, it is mainly designed for mame but i am pretty sure spanner got it working with the FME emulators.

I am sure there is a topic in the forum about this already, i will have a search and see if i can dig it up.

EDIT: Here is the topic i was thinking of, spanner goes by fruitzone on this site. http://www.fruit-emu...iewtopic&t=1791

It was actually through 3D Arcade that I first found out about FME.
And spanner was the person that mentioned it on the 3D Arcade forums, which led me here (Cheers Nick).
I repaid the debt about a month ago when I bumped into him on a forum for a trainsim (for which I beta test), and sent him a CD with the demo on.
He's since bought the full game (TRS2004), and I see him over there posting quite often.

Anyway, back to 3D Arcade.
It's not an easy Frontend to set up by any means, and does take a bit of getting used to.
There are instructions that come with the FE, as well as some on the 3D Arcade site.
Peter (the author of 3D Arcade) is very helpful if you post on the official forum).

I currently have both 3D Arcade and MameWah set up on my Mame Cab, and it is great to walk about a virtual arcade looking at the realistic cabs, etc.

One thing I will advise before you start.
Always, and I mean Always, backup the CFG folder regularly.
If you change anything in the arcade (like adding another machine, or changing the actual arcade they are in), and you do it wrong, then 3D Arcade won't boot-up.
Without a backup CFG folder, you would be locked out of the FE, and unless you knew exactly where the error was and in which CFG file, it would probably require a complete reinstall.

Don't let that put you off.
As long as you don't try to run before you can walk, it's a great FE.
Well worth the effort when you walk around a virtual arcade looking at real arcade machines (with animated screens for indiviual games!), down to the back wall where all the fruities are (or wherever you want them to be), and upstairs for the pinball machines and pool table. :D :D

Have fun, but be careful out there. 8-)

I once sent Nick some pictures of my genesis cab so he could make a cab for the FE, i don't suppose you have a picture of the cabinet he made? i never got a chance to see how it turned out.

Thanks

Here's the pic on the 3D Arcade site showing both of the fruity cabs available for the FE (both by Nick).

I am not sure, i sent him a few pictures of it a while ago when he was about to start making it so they probably are from my machine, i suppose only Nick knows for sure.
