[MPU Mecca]

Hi all,

 

Please see below picture, not seen one before, was in a Bell Fruit machine I'm repairing, normally they just have the sound EPROM on the Scorpion 2 board, in the bottom left corner, this machine had nothing in the slot on the board, and this card installed in the expansion socket.

 

Anyway, doesn't seem to work properly, only half the sound works, so I have burnt a normal sound ROM and put it on the board, and done away with this card.

 

Anyone know why they used them ? maybe something to do with smaller memory EPROMS, due to this having two, and I have replaced with a single on the board ?
