Epoch based, so first thing to check on ANY Epoch machine, is it's mainboard and the state of the little green battery on it.

If it shows any signs of leaking, then AVOID IT, unless you can get the machine for a real knock down price of less than £50, as you will be looking at between £40 / £50 for a replacement Epoch system board alone, assuming you can actually find one.

If you happen to be lucky with the battery issue and the machine works, it's VERY important to wire this battery off the board (As in fly wire), so if / when it does leak, it does not take out the system board (This will be the one with the game rom's fitted to it).

TBH all machines generally suffer with the battery issue, and our general advice is that if the machines works fine, first job is to get the battery fly-wired off the board to save any possible future damage due to leaking batteries..... however on Epoch (Project PC92's are also bad, in that there is some large 50 volt tracks that run under the battery area, and are known to burn etc when leaks happen), it's even more critical, as even the most tiny of leaks on this system, is enough to kill the mainboard, mostly due to the way the board is designed.
