little story for you i need to get off my chest :
i found some rare fruit machine glasses 7 pieces , i contacted various friends and managed to secure the glasses for them , i was to have them delivered to me at home on a ups next day service .
the goods were packed and picked up bearing tracking number :1z 577 6w1 9231 9623 by ups .
i checked with the sender and the items got collected from him the day before yesterday on 19/11/2014 and the tracking confirmed this . both online and over the telephone to ups .
i wait at home knowing ups would call because i have a box of old 10ps to send to a mate , anyways the driver arrived, but didn't have anything for me ?? i showed him the tracking saying it was on a van and out for delivery ??
he said i haven't got it, and i am the only person to deliver to your area , they prob shoved it on the wrong van and i will bring it to you tomorrow , i said it wasn't good enough and asked for a direct number for staple ford ups (his depot) he didn't have one, instead he gave me a national rate number to call , which i did, i explained my one and only local ups driver doesn't have my parcel so where is it .
they just said its on a van. maybe different van and you will receive it by 7 p.m. on 20/11/14 and i was not to worry, i explained again i wasn't hopeful as my only local driver didn't have it, they assured me again all was well and i would get it .
p.m. came and went , the tracking stayed the same as out for delivery .......................
this morning i check online and ups tracking says “held in warehouse “ . so i ring ups national rate number to find out where my parcel is , they tell me its in the warehouse but don't know why . and they will have to email the depot in staple ford and ask the depot to ring me about it , and to expect a call in the next hour .
phone call received said was damaged and in the depot, but the lady who deals with damages isn't in until p.m. and they are not realising a damaged parcel to me .
I said i want to see the parcel for myself and i am coming down to the depot , they said ok .
On arriving to the depot i am led into the warehouse where to my dismay is the parcel strewn across the floor and everything inside damaged and broken . I said how has this happened he had no explanation
i mentioned it said it was out for delivery yesterday so where has it been , he said , it hasn't been anywhere since it came in ???? i said prove it he couldn't/wouldn't . he said every parcel that comes in is automatically processed and marked out for delivery even though it isn't ??
i said if it arrived damaged then why not tell me and instead mark it as being on the van, they had no answer and said its just the way it is ???
i asked to see the manager , she just told me what the previous person had told me , i explained it all and it fell on deaf ears , i had the red mist ... i wasn't and still am not very happy .
2 of her workforce approached the door as she asked me to leave , i said i aren't going anywhere .. a stand off ensued and the police were called ..
in-between cops being called and arriving, i had calmed down , said sorry for seeing the mist, and left the building .
i saw the police on way home, i pulled them over ha-ha and told them no need togo now officer its sorted , he took my details and i went home .
i now have to wait till 1 p.m. and later this afternoon to find out what's happening in regards to my now damaged parcel and its contents .
