Just got the showtime spectacular machine delivered today, working fine except it does not pay any coinage out at all. Does not pulse any of the payout solenoids even in test mode. Is there something obvious (like a dip switch setting, or common connector that may need reconnecting somewhere...)

50v fuse appears ok, cables appear to be plugged in (but im half asleep so may have missed something.)

It has a token/cash switch on the rear inside, currently set on token, all dips are off, apart from the 14 and 15.

Tried moving the coin sensors so they think coins are in, even though the level is quite low at the moment, but nothing.

Wins build up ok, and it seems to think it is paying out, makes the electric beepy noise when paying out, and the meters click over, but the solenoids dont do anything at all.

Its a bfm, scorpion 2 machine, showtime spectacular 10p play 8 pound jackpot if thats any help.

most likely will be the powersupply at fault but you may want to check the board on the back door of the machine and make sure place on the board that is marked payouts is plugged in correctly.

i have worked on these machines a few years ago and the most common fault with no pulses on the solonoids and the meters clicking over is a fault on the power supply.

the fuses may be ok but the powersupply may still be at fault.

Cheers baz, will check the machine later for the 50v's see if it is present (better wait till I am more awake, been without sleep for ages now...)

Kicking myself as I now also have a reel error 21, and the optic on the reel is not registering, looks like its a dead sensor AND a a bad wire in the loom as it goes on and off when the wire is moved a bit.

When I turn the reel hte led is on permanantly.

Need to find a new optic for the machine now, cant believe I f***d it after only one day. GRrrrrrr thats life!

Luckily PSU is ok, found the 50v, traced it round the machine to near the tubes and discovered someone had unplugged the power going to the solenoids and plugged it into some other connector.

Plugged it in to the right thing, and it works a treat now (once I get passed the reel error that is ;) faked it enough to get into test mode, so I can test payout tho, all fine.
