I do remember visiting the main street in Weston and out of all of them I must admit Penny Falls was by far the worst.

I forget the name of the one nearest the seafront, next door to Olympia but generally found those 2 very tidy and worth going in and having a punt.

However cross the road to Penny Falls and it is a completely different atmosphere, shame really as I would have thought a big company like JNC

would have given a s**t, but not the case.

I can't believe they still have that Duff Beer Guide in there, I'm going back 4/5 years and half the bulbs were gone then!

Maybe that's why they have all gone now according to Vectra, taken that long for them all to go pop!

I won't be visiting this place again, once was enough for me!

hi im living about 11 miles from Porthcawl... (Port Talbot) I have to admit its going down hill year by year. All the machines there are very old and dated they are normally flogging the very tacky ones at 25-30 quid each. None of them have been looked after they are all stinking. A bit of polish goes a long way lol. Did you just stay around the fair? or did you go into Treco bay? they have a biggish arcade there to machines are about the same.... only tidy one(s) are in the club house more upto date ones, £70 jackpot. With regards to the fair, there has been many many accidents there wouldn't trust any of the rides after seeing one fail when visiting a few years back.

I haven't been near the rides at Coney beach since Nine year old Timothy Morgan was almost decapitated on the water chute back in 1994.

Sadly he died at the scene, as have many more over the years.

By the way "iamlee", I'm just up the road from you in Merthyr.

No machines, just play the Emus.

Fruit Emu has been my life saver after many years of addictive gambling started by playing an old, but familiar machine called "Super Nudge Gambler" back in the late 70s, in the arcade now known as "Jungle Jims" Trecco Bay. little did I know back then, how much it would cost me over the years, and not just money, a relationship, two jobs, and it almost cost me my life due to a breakdown from depression.

However, that was over 28 years ago, now I have a job, a wife, two grown up kids and a wonderful grandson, happy days.

I still play the fruities, BUT ONLY ON EMULATORS!!!

Coral Island is just designed for passing trade.

As long as they get the people in,spending there hard earned cash-nothing else matters.

Now the heat has gone Blackpool is yet again a ghost town!!

I visited Woolacombe for the first time in twenty years last month. Its one arcade is still in good nick, fairly current machines (well from a few years latest was one of barcrests Star Wars) and a lot of older ones:duff beer, couple of impact crystals (s&l slide again was one). All relamped with what look like led lamps, very bright and very odd looking! Was more impressed with them having a pinball still.

Then I went to look at the site we used to stay at....which had one of my favourite caravan site arcades, small but crammed in with machines of all types. The clubhouse has been completley revamped and they've more than doubled the size of the arcade but it is absolute pants...full of penny pushers, grabbers. Couple of fruities in a quiet corner. Tbh it was heartbreaking what they've done to it...a lot of good memories. Still the arcade version of jetpack joyride it had was unusual...but then this is the only place i ever saw the arcade game Trog
