First timer needing advice for running emulators - on a mac!

Best Answer Magz, 21 June 2014 - 07:06 PM

Hi Jeremy,

The emulators will not run natively on a Mac so you'll need some Windows emulation software to get them to work. I recommend Parallels:

http://www.parallels.com

With that you can run MFME (see the emulators download section). You can then download Cops and Robbers from this site and it should play, assuming your Mac is relatively new (3-4 years or newer will likely be ok) and can handle the graphics.

Cheers,

Magz.

Hi

I'm afraid I'm totally in the dark here and need your help and advice as I've never set up emulators on my computer.

For starters I use an Apple Macbook and dont even know whether I can get what I want on it.

I'm hoping to get Cops 'n Robbers (the original 4-reel Club version with the swag bag feature from the 80's-90's)

Can anyone please advise on where I can get the files I'll need and how to set it up - if in fact it's even possible

Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks

Jeremy (jcposs)

Hi,

Some users of the Reels Of Fun Sims have macs, and they use the built in "bootcamp"  loader to boot into mac or windows pretty easy as well from what I been told.

Once done you just choose to boot into windows or Mac.

Then the windows based games will work as normal.

So that's another option for you that's free, you just need a legit copy of windows I guess.

Get a proper PC.  None of this Mac shite.  That's my advice. ;)

However if you do want to persist then any or all of the options presented above provide a solution
