Hey guys :)

I've just got myself a Deal or No Deal Big Reds, running on Scorpion 5 tech. I want to fit an NV7 or NV9, which is the note acceptor with the stacker.

I believe, but am not certain, than an NV8 or NV10 was previously fitted.

There is a 16 way connection coming from the motherboard which I think would fit into an NV7/NV9, but my question is that if the machine previously had an NV8/NV10, will this same 16 way connector that was in the NV8/NV10 plug in and work in an NV7/NV9, or is the wiring different?

Cheers!

All note acceptors can have stackers fitted (otherwise the notes would just be falling inside the machine!!!

Not all note acceptors have stackers.Unless you have all the metalwork for a stacker to be fitted, which you probably wont have if the seller didnt say it had the stacker metalwork as this doesn't come standard with a machine.

If you have the metal box down beside the powersupply and all the metalwork for a standard note acceptor you are just as well fitting a jcm taiko.

It doesn't have the metalwork for a stacker, but I've managed to build relevant metalwork for an Eclipse cabinet before, when I had a different machine.

Having done a bit of reading, it appears that the pinouts for NV7,8,9,10 are all exactly the same, so I'm sure its just a case of plug and play :)

Cheers everyone!

Hmmm, just noticed a problem with the machine!

It seems a bit dicky at accepting coins... I cleaned the mech (A Cashflow 126) and it seemed to take about 90% - 95% of coins. I've turned it on 8 hours later, and now it isn't taking ANY coins whatsoever, they just fall into the reject chute and come back out into the cash tray! Any idea what could be causing this problem?

Cheers!
