how do you work the dip switches and how do you know what they do? and other setting in the emulator?

The DIP switches change the settings of the machine like payout percentages
Dip switches vary between machines and the era they come from, batches of similarly aged machines tend to have similar dip switch functions.
Without the specific fruit machine manual its a bit hit and miss I am afraid, but you have to do a machine reset each time you change any settings.
For example on happy streak, dip 1 switch 3 changes the £15 jackpot to £15+repeat chance.
