I remeber these pure because of a machine I always used to play in the lakes.

It was a MAB Crazy Blaze, basically 3 Red Hot 777 machines and a Fireman themed top board, same sort as a party time.

£8 Jackpot 10p a play and it was a really good machine, really good gameplay and awsomesauce mick hucknel nudges tune!

As are a few machines like 'London Bus Race' which didnt have a make as such but had exactly the same sounds, so they must of all been made by MAB.

Also I remeber they did a lot of Electrocoin machines, instead of BAR-X it was MAB-X they looked exactly the same, played the same and had the same sounds and graphics etc.

So what was the relationship there? Sort of like QPS/Mazooma and BFM? or More like Electrocoin and Concept? Were they a spin off or an independant company?

Are they still around? Theyre website is still active not that anything seems to pf happend on it for about 4 years but its still up so someone is paying for it to be there? So do they still make machines?

Also does anyone know when theyre machines were made? Im guessing late 90's or early 2000s as im sure they ran the Pluto 2 System same as party time. According to theyre website they swapped over to Epoch for reliability :S?

Just looked at their website... Those machines were the new £15 jackpots in 1998... I agree it shouldn't be active/selling outdated stock!

MAB Systems were a separate company in their own right, but may have been established by Maygay, or Maygay may have owned the shares,or they may just have been in partnership. MAB were based in Hull, whereas Maygay were based in Wolverhampton. The directors of MAB seem to have varied interests in the Easton England around North Humberside and South Yorkshire.

MAB went into voluntary liquidation in Feb 2001 at which point they would have had to cease trading in business. The Company itself was formally dissolved in April 2009.

But someone forgot to switch off the website. It's quite poignant really.

For a 12 year old website it still works well and looks better than some I currently use. As you say Alex, it is poignant that the website is still going. Half tempted to register for technical docs and see what happens!

Very tempting, the same thought did occur to me... if it's an automated system it will no doubt still work!

Already tried it seems to be a separate system that doesnt work.

How do you come about knowing so much about them? Have you any idea also about when crazy blaze was released and what tech it uses?

All that MAB did generally, was build on Electrocoin based equipment, with the close copies of the Bar-x like games, actually ran a re-packaged Chuzzy Kit.

A lot of their own version cab adaptation's was in fact designed by Chuzzy.

the orginal mab kits play like chuzzy kit i.e 3 time holds flashes for either x's or bars

but his kits give you flash streaks unlimted nudges wins can hold up to 5 times

none of these things can never happen on a electrocoin

I use a website called duedil (due dilligence) useful for investigating businesses if you are in business for yourself to see if they will be able to pay you before you start dealing with them.

Hopefully the tech stuff is still there, just need someone to hack the site to get it out.

I am registered, but don't pay anything for membership. Tend to just use it for free lookups. Useful site, especially the ability to see what other companies people are directors of.
