Not something simple like the connector has come loose from the hopper or on the mainboard?

I already answered this on your other thread.
Try cleaning the opto sensors on the hopper.
Anticipating your next question, as to where they are , they're where the quids come out of the hopper.

Thankyou so much for your help. We have taken the hopper apart and found the sensor and cleaned it and now it works just fine. The only problem we still have with it is that it has a loud hum coming from the speaker. It still plays all the music and says all the words but they are overshadowed by the hum/buzz. Any ideas what this could be..........
would there be anyone on here that would be interested in fixing or spice is right machine.

Most machines have a buzz through the speaker. Its usually normal, especially when more lamps are lit. If its causing you a problem, its likely to be the PSU at fault. But honestly, unless its driving you insane, I would leave it.

Agreed with above - Most do this but your never hear it in a live pub due to noise - Its just the speakers picking up the voltage as the lamps pulse in attract mode.
You could end up buying another psu and not clear the problem.
