Hopper does not pay out coins

Best Answer No1Stoney, 25 September 2013 - 09:16 PM

If the hopper is working now I would say the door switches have sorted your problem. Yea wasn't sure if the yellow ones are needed as they are not in the top door switch. Not sure why your orange and blue wires needed to be different way around, but if its fixed it then that's the main thing! Glad you got it sorted. Go to the full post

Does the machine think it has its doors open even though they are not? A common thing for people to do is re-wire the door switches so the machine always thinks the doors are open and machine can be played on free play. One way to tell is if you can simply press start to gain credits and you can hold cancel and nudge reels down freely or hold whenever you want?

Hi Dave /stoney

When i try to collect winnings it just counts down and coin slot light goes out when you push collect, yes it has free credits ( 12.50 to be precise!) you can hold cancel down and it slows feature down ie boost -extra life-lucky 7 etc. Would be nice to get it sorted out back to original play etc so any help will be greatly appreciated! thx

12.50 is deffo test mode, you need to make sure the switch at bottom door is wired up, if not it will think its open and stay in test mode.

Pictures mate and then these boys will have you up n running in no time :)

Try adding those wires to the machine for now if you like. Tomorrow I'll look at the switches on my MPU5 machine and see how they are wired up and let you know.

OK, had a look just a moment ago, at my machine.

This is how mine is wired up, so set yours the same. If it doesnt work, reverse the wires one switch at a time, because my switches may be in a different way up to your machines..

The colours relate to the colour of the wire coming out of the plug

Top Door:

RED

WHITE

---

---

BLUE
ORANGE

Bottom Door:

RED

WHITE

YELLOW

YELLOW

BLUE

ORANGE

Not sure if it matters which way the yellow wires are, but you can always try swapping them over if all else fails.

Let us know how you get on.
