Best Answer NickYerPesos, 21 September 2013 - 10:56 PM

Been very lucky. Psu mustve been damp from when previous owner had it in his garage.. but now after being in the dry garage for a few days.. thought id test the "all lamps" test..no reset and stayed on.. no resets at all

Chuffed to bits.. I finally have an italian job.. :D Go to the full post

Id be heading for a gammy PSU, logically that would be causing the massive power surge it seems to get, surprisingly it hasnt killed it yet!

Thats the thing with Epoch boards, the cause hassel hassel hassel but they wont bloody die!

Ps... Go into test mode and see if there is a lamp flash test, where it flashes all the lamps on and off. Put full load on the psu to see if it causes the same problem.

Also check the molex plug(s) on the psu and where they connect to each board to make sure there is no burning or arcing on any of them....

Yeh ive had the psu open.. checked wiring.. no signs of damage.. I think its just dead.. and that clicking is coming from the speaker.. from the multiple resets.

Dont suppose anyone has a spare psu do they??

Ok, no worries.

Forgot to say, the clicking on the speaker will only be from the psu discharging when it resets itself....

Leave it on in attract mode for a few hours. I have had several like this..... You think they are ok, then it all starts again.

I've had a few machines that have come from the garage with problems, then into the house and the problems stopped. One was a scorp 4 machine that had a mux error I couldn't get rid of, thought the board was knackered. Never did it again once it was inside. Hope your problem was just the damp. Make sure it gets a thorough testing before you sell it lol .
