Hi all.

Need some advice. I've come across an OFAH Dels Millions which I am really contemplating on buying. Classic childhood memories, and all that. Only thing is the seller says there is a minor fault with it, and that reel 1 is playing up and the machine says "code 21 reel error" on it. Now I know a little about them, it could purely be reel 1 is sticking, jamming, out of sync, or plug is faulty. If that's the case, hopefully it's an easy fix.
On the other hand, it may be the actual reel driver that is at fault, and two things worry me about that. 1) how do you replace a reel driver and 2) for the age of the machine, can you actually get a reel driver for it, or a replacement reel if that is just the fault?
I am based in Leicester, and she is based in Lancashire, the price for the machine is perfect, but I don't want to end up spending £50 on fuel and then be stuck with an absolute classic that I can't play as that would defeat the object of getting it as then would have to spend money on parts that may not actually be available anyway.

Any suggestions anyone?

Well the good news is that the reel drivers are the opposite end of the board to the battery which would indicate its not a battery leak.

I have 6 Scorp 1 boards if you do need a driver chip. Though they are transistor driven so its more likely to be a dead transistor or a wiring fault than it is one of the chips.

Do the OFAH use Scorpion boards then? I can't remember who made them :/

Yeah, I got it wrong, its Scorpion 2, not scorpion 1. So I am not sure about the battery positioning.

A reel fault is most likely to be a dead opto board or faulty wiring (or a sticky reel band).

If the battery hasn't leaked, I'm certain you would be able to get it running.
