Basically you just need to make sure the R G and B are connected to pins 7, 11 and 15.  Then make sure your video sync is connected to pin 20 and that you connect 5v to pin 16.

Let us know how you get on.  Always nice to see a fellow BWB video enthusiast. :)

Had a little go with a pc psu, don't know if its working correct out of the pc (fan not spinning on psu) still just a bit of extra snow on the screen with the 5v connected, I have soldered all the earths.

Feel like kicking the fooker all over the house lol.

Edit: does anyone know if I can draw +5v from the lower red connector on the video board.

Pin

1. +5v regulated power, signal +5v

2. +5v regulated power, signal +5v

3. key position, no connection

4. +12v to regulator, +12v

5. +12v to regulator, +12v

6. system ground, ov

7. system ground, ov

Thanks.

Now that's what I'm talking about....  Glad you got it running, well done :)

PS It is a little tricky using a PC PSU because it won't just 'switch on' you need to short some pins.

Thanks again Fuzion.

Finally getting somewhere with it lol.

Got another prob, it likes to take 1 token then locks them out (both tubes are full), I have tried the level sensors & it doesn't change it, don't know if its a dip switch setting, its a bit strange though to just take 1 token regardless of tube levels.

Also needs a new battery, doesn't remember credits/bank.

Going to put a 20" crt tv in it, I bought one for £18.50 from the british heart foundation charity shop by me the other day, boxed the 19" open frame lcd up to go back, its getting collected on Monday by courier.

I think there might be a dip setting, could even be a setting in the actual config screen of the fruit machine. If it is a setting in the config then it won't remember it as you need a new battery.

Anyway keep us updated with the Red Hot Poker goodness :)

make sure that bank 2 dips 7 and 8 are off - one is single coin entry and the other is tokens locked out when full - you can see the options available on your machine in test mode - see video demo.

Thanks Captain haddock & Fuzion.

If this machine hasn't been on for a number of years & the battery has died, is it possible that it might recharge itself if I leave the machine on, or once there dead that's it?.

I have ordered a new one anyway from fleebay.

Dips 7 & 8 are already off & all looked fine in test hmmmmmm.

Maybe new y chute or mech, cleaned the mech & the y chute sensors.

The battery is not working.  You should remove the battery from the MPU4 board as soon as possible just in case it is leaking, which is highly likely.  It could have already done some damage to the board.

The very first BWB video I got the battery has expired and did some fairly hefty damage to the surrounding resistors and tracks, my machine did still work though which was a big surprise :)

Will remove it when new one comes, it doesn't look like its leaked if I look down the plastic cover, so hopefully it will be ok :)

Still baffled by the token cut out, a signals getting sent from somewhere to stop it taking tokens after 1, think I will try a new y chute, seen one for £10 delivered from cmjs leisure.

You should remove the mpu4 casing and check the battery, the token problem could be do to some damaged tracks on motherboard due to battery damage.   Is there a check date on the MPU4 board casing?  Mine was last checked 1998 and it had hefty damage from corroded battery.  I think the gas that gets released from the battery is what causes the damage actually.

Battery changed by barcrest 2002 sticker.

Put a pound in it will take a token, but only 1, and it keeps doing that.

Will go and have a gander at the board :)

The battery had leaked see the corrosion on the standing up things, I used a old toothbrush & had a bit of a touch up with my conductive pen, the trace I drew between the battery terminal & the diode, I have removed it as it was running as it dried, will bridge it with a bit of wire when new battery comes.

Board still works have put it back in machine, still wont take the tokens properly, prob buy new mech & y-chute.

If only I never sold my psycho cash beast club last week & I would have mech etc to try in it :(

Had this happen in the wild with token machine, they would only take a token after you had passed a coin through the mech.so i didn't have to spend cash when using tokens i used to push the reject button in and pass a 10p through then it would take a token each time.I would be looking at the mech for this problem,

Cheers Tommy.

So a cashflow 126 is the same as a me126?.

Haven't really done much work on machines since 1999 when the arcade I worked in closed lol.
