Hey,

I've noticed some layouts such as Maygay's Donkey Kong are missing cursor or keyboard play. Is their any reason why a layout doesn't have the shortcut keys, button or coin to make both keyboard and cursor compatible ? Other layouts like Barmy Army etc.

What is the proper method to assigning a shortcut as I notice different layouts sometime has different numbers for button and the coin mech is kind of confusing ?

You can always add them in yourself.

Very easy to do.

Get it in design/edit mode and right click a button. Assign whatever button you want for that, apply. Do them all and save the layout.

As spa said fairly easy to do the £ in is usual button 47 and 20p is something like 45 the others are usually easy to do depending on the button numbers they're not always the same and some cancel shortcuts don't work as they should like the one on one of my clubbers

But what are the common button numbers ? I want them to be consistent but they seem to vary a lot per layout. Which one enables the cursor play ? Button or shortcut key ?

But what are the common button numbers?

There are no 'common' button numbers.  The numbers are governed by the rom which the emulator then picks  up after being identified by the designer.  Some are similar but by no means all.

I want them to be consistent

Tough!  You can't for the reasons above.

Which one enables the cursor play ? Button or shortcut key ?

Either a button or a lamp which has the button settings assigned to it.  Short cut keys have sod all to do with Cursor play.

Hope that clears it up.
