Hey guys just wondered if someone can help,i received a message from my missus email address apparently which had a spam link in it,and then she received one back from me which i have not done,and it was also sent to other people,does anyone know what this could be as it's doing my head in.Has anybody got any cough medicine for malware bytes as well please.cheers all.

things like emoticons ask you to subscribe and they nick your address book and email everybody. its not a virus but something you have either subscribed to or given a login to.

This is where mr pilkington would be handy at the moment, anyway won't your security detect this like my avg detects mfme3.2 and deletes it so can't put that on lappy at moment

Also if you need a *cough* for the full version of Malwarebytes .. it will provide real time protection as well as autoupdating.

Another good program to run through your PC for any hidden nasties is Spybot Search and Destroy.

 

Version 2.0 is out , but to me its too bloated with all sorts of extra crap your never gonna need..im sticking with version 1.6.2

I've encountered this a couple times and changing your email client's password stops them sending mails to all your contacts
