hi all a friend of mine has a fruit machine and has recently

purchased a note reader for it from ebay he fitted it to the machine 

and its knackerd the machine where does he stand? or can he fix this? if so how?

what do you mean by knackered it?

It's unlikely to have broken it simply by connecting it up...  Unless it was connected to the wrong port or was wired wrong and has caused a short circuit.

 

At worst the machine would refuse to boot, but then disconnecting it again should put it back as it was

may have to turn one of the dil switchies off on the main board after removing the note taker try turning all dills off and reboot machine

Well we cannot help unless we know what "knackered" refers to.

What are the symptoms.. Not booting, no power, alarms??
