hello all - Appoliges for my first post being one for help but im truley stumpped.

I've picked up this machine which i have come to learn is a clone of oh-ah-Dracula. When i turn the mackine on without the bottom door on the machine will play fine. However if i fit the bottom door or push the bottom door switch in, after the machine resets, the display read "Door 81.00" and the four digit led display flashes bhetween "door" & "25C".

I've downloaded the MPU5 manual but can seam to find out how to fix this error.

The other thing that is a bit bizzare is that when playing with the bottom door open if there are no credits in the machine the lamps dont go into attact mode. The LED scrolls all the bumf about getting to dicks hide out and gambling for more etc but none of the lights flash, they all just stay constanly illuminated.

Can any one help me out, this is my first ever machine so i am jumping in at the deep end a bit.

Thanks in advance

Russ

Hi. Sounds like the door switches have been wired incorrectly, so that when the door is open it thinks its shut and vice-versa. Try swapping over the wires that go into the switch so that its reversed. When its saying "door 81.00" it simply means "door open" and set on 81%, because the machine thinks the door is open.

As for the other problem. Try looking at the settings for the DIP switches on the main board. One of them should be for an attract mode setting which is probably on inhibit. That should sort that problem out.

If you want a quick fix for your door problem without messing with wires, simply remove the door switch from its holder and let it hang down. Then when you close the door, it wont press the switch in.

Hope this helps

Hey Stoney,

Thanks for your help. Rewiring the door switch worked a treat and i can now play with the door shut. :) However, i still can't get the machine to go into attacact mode. I've tried a number of combonations of dip switchies on the main board but nothing seems to make a differance. Any thing else i could try or any idea what the correct dip setting are?

Once again, thanks for your help :)

Cheers

Russ

Maybe once you've got this running you could do us a favour and take some photos of this machine (switched off) for emulation purposes. This has been emulated by me and others but would look better with better quality pictures/photo's as the flyer I used was of poor quality.
Thank you.

Turn dip switch 4 off on the second bank of switches it's because it has been switched to licenced betting office mode so the lights don't annoy all the punters :)

Hello all,

thanks Tommy C, worked a treat, machine now goes into Attract mode after about 20 sec of switching on.

Vectra666, I have taken some photos, sorry about the quality as they were taking in bad light with my phone. If they are not good enough then i will dig out the Digital Camera and take some better definition ones for you. :)

Once again, thanks for you help guys.MAchine plays a bit starnge ATM but i'm guessing that is because of the new Jackpot/Stake key fitted?  All i need to do now is fit a new lock for the bottom door and touch up the paint and she will be as good as new!!! :D

One last thing though is that the coin sorter can be a bit fussy with coins. Sometimes it will take £20 of quids no problems other times it will reject 5+ on the trott. It's a Mars sorter if that makes any differance??

cheers

Russ

P.s is there any empiters, tips to force this machine? :p

Cheers for the pictures but will definitely need the digital camera pictures for better quality and need some of the whole machine only, not sure exactly what's needed for pictures maybe a PM to tommy C or another creator to find out the exact photo's we need. Any chance of a couple of machine on photo's too as need to work out what lights are on the nudges and feature trail etc then I could re-do this as a £25 machine

The coin mech may need a little clean, get a damp cloth and give it a quick wipe there is a little flap that opens up,give that a clean and allow to dry.
