Short Extract From Main Headlines And Bullet Points:

Millions of NatWest bank customers left without access to their money for four hours after computer system crashes AGAIN

- The majority of the bank's UK customers have been affected by IT blackout
- Royal Bank of Scotland and Ulster Bank users also hit by glitch
- Online and phone banking down, ATMs broken and card payments rejected
- Customers have vented frustrations and threatened to quit for other banks
- Last year millions were unable to use cards or move money for days
- They were forced to set aside £125m compensation for those out of pocket

More info can be read at: http://www.dailymail...ks-crashes.html

- I am an natwest customer myself and it only comes less than a year ago that it happened, it looks like natwest is deciding to go and have a system failure every once in a while, and many people are deciding if they should keep with natwest and move to a different bank.

- Are you a natwest customer on here? if so, what is your point of view with this whole natwest thing that has been happening lately?

I think the sooner they stop offshoring IT jobs to script reading monkeys in India it would be better for all concerned. The disjointed nature of IT support systems in the financial services industries these days I am staggered this does not happen more often.

When I was with Barclays this happened regularly and when I worked for Abbey National (before Santander) it also happened alot.  Trouble is these days, you only hear about certain things because it was a certain company and RBS are top of the media list at present and Facebook and Twitter posts seem to send people in this country crazy.   You only need to look at the horse meat thing to see how fast they all were to try and destroy Tesco the day the news broke and then it turned out that nearly all companies have been affected at some point.

My main account is with Nat West at the moment and for a 3 hour period last night I couldn't use the account, doesn't mean I'm going to go through the hassle of changing my account when I know it can and will happen to all the other banks at some point.

Too many people pulled in by media hype and social websites.

Problem is, the last problem RBS Group had, affected myself and mum pretty bad (Both of us are with NatWest).

On that day, I was at the Central Nottingham (Smiths / Old Market Square) branch of NatWest (Long Eaton / South Nottingham Business Centre is our home branch), and it took me 25 mins just to get £30 out, and that was all they allowed me to take, along with a number of Direct Debit's on mum's account going nuts.

Seeing this happen yet agin along with other small hiccups between then, don't instill much faith in RBS group to do things right, but I know Barclay's is not that much better, so it's a bit of a bugger to know who to bank with, whom will do a just and right job of things.
