Hey Guys, Keith here over in Ireland

I recently grabbed 11 arcade machines from an old Barn in Cork over here, and amongst the cabs was this old Fruit Machine.  Im looking for some help with it if possible.  It powers on and lights up when plugged in, but i cant seem to get the wheels(?) to spin.  If i stick in a 10p that start button flashes but when i press it nothing happens.

I opened up the back (pic below) and there are a load of test buttons on the bottom, some do stuff, others i cant see what they do.  If i press one it looks like its ejecting coins out of the tubes, another will make all the levers over the wheels go up and down.

Any help would be appreciated, and i was wondering (if its allowed on the forum) what sort of a value would you put on this?

Thanks in advance!

Keith

Electro-mechanical fruit machines haven’t been supported or released in any the emulators available vectra.

So I had a look to see if there had been any more help or advice offered to this guy, and as I was scrolling through I noticed my post had turned blue, and sort of panicked, thinking I'd done something wrong and was in trouble..... again! lol

Imagine my surprise when I realised it's because atm it's been voted the best post (never had one before)

It's cheered me up no end, and given me a bit of self worth back, it might not seem like much to most people, but when you're having a crap time of things, something unexpected that's nice instead of nasty, makes one hell of a difference I can tell you!

So thanks guys for liking it. :)

It isn't all doom and gloom here, as some have suggested... ;)

Glad it made you feel good Phil mate - and it certainly was the best advice in this case mate, even though some may think it would be poaching to the other FME forums, this isn't really an FME matter and the Mecca nowadays is mainly real fruit machine based.

Congratulations chas, and keep 'em coming for time to come. :)

Old Bell fruit setup. Common is fuses and or an old relay is stuck. These buggers have like 110volt going to the reels on the contact panel lol. Just turn it off locate the the relay remove it give it a tap and resit it. The only other things with them is the relay pcb that they sit in. The pins are damaged from corrosion or relays have burnt out. It`s rare but reel motors have condensation in side of them and have rusted up (coils with inside the motors that is)

.._-=It`s not a problem only a challenge =-_..

Looks like you have found Ron (BF74) @ The Mecca, so you are in good hands with him.

What he don't know about old BFM Electromechanical style machines is pretty much worth not knowing.

With his help, managed to get my BFM Cross Over working 100%
