Just ask everyone had any problems with Amazon and Yodel check this out. Be aware of the delivery service that amazon use, Yodel.
waited in for a delivery of a large parcel. the only thing delivered was a red delivery card that was put through the door with the section marked that the item will be delivered the next day. baring in mind, I was in at the time this attempted delivery was made. anyway, today me and my missus have waited all bloody day and eventually went online to track the delivery only to find out that the package was delivered.

where to??????

... So I called Yodel only to be told that the package was delivered and left in a porch. we don't have a porch. so I asked what was Yodel going to do about it as it was their mistake. apparently we have to chase it up.

so, to anyone who buys stuff from amazon.....beware of Yodel. your items will end up at someone else's address!!!!!

I had spent ages on the phone to Yodel being pushed from pillar to post. only to end up finally speaking to someone who didn't speak english very well. most frustrating when trying to resolve a problem, it was if my words were falling on deaf ears!!!!!!

Yeah, Yodel are totally useless (in my opinion). I had a "guaranteed" delivery from them for 30th December. They messed me around for about 3 weeks on and off (went back to Amazon twice). In the end I did get the stuff, although the box was knackered.

I don't bother with Amazon anymore for only this reason. If I absolutely have to, I get it delivered to work as they seem to be able to find the office OK.

Yodel brought out DHL sometime back in 2011

Yeah, I knew they bought DHL@Home (which was a cheap DHL arm), looks like they bought pretty much all of it though. Yodel is part of Shop Direct group, who operate Littlewoods. Enough said! :)

To be fair though, my local Yodel has improved massively over the past few years, now we have a nice Polish lad in a proper white van and I've not had a problem since.

For me, worse couriers are typically the 'self employed, paid per parcel' ones - for example, Hermes : https://www.myhermes.../Home/homepage/

In all honesty though, a courier business is only as good as your local office and staff. I swear by DPD and Interlink Express, who assign a timed, 1 hour slot first thing in the morning and text / email you it. I used to deal with the same driver for about the past 8 years, however one day they sent a 'new driver'. I don't know if I posted before, but anyway, the parcel was due to arrive between 11:30 and 12:30 or thereabouts. Come 14:00, I call the depot, they say they will call the driver and call me back. They do call back in a few minutes, but inform me they can't contact the driver, and ask if I'm OK to wait in incase he has broken down e.t.c. - which I was. Come about 16:00 - with me still refreshing the tracking page - I notice a white van fly down the road, turn around and speed off. I refresh the page a few minutes later, and it suddenly comes up as 'CAN'T FIND PROPERTY'. It's only an 8 house cul-de sac, and I've never had problems with people unable to find it. I assume the van was my courier and despite me sitting in the front room, with the computer, I literally just heard him fly up the road and speed off - no sign of stopping.

I call the courier back, they apologise profusely, and say they will call me back with a resolution. 5 minutes later, I get a call from them, apologising, and they say that my normal driver lives in the same town, and if I'm happy to wait until 18:00 he will have the parcel on him at the end of his shift. Anyway, he turned up at 18:00, we had a good laugh, and all was sorted. Since then I've been back to the same old driver :)

For me, best one I have found to date is Hermes, with the local driver Tony, being an absolutely fantastic bloke, and never gives me any bother..... only problem is, they don't operate UK wide.

DPD is reasonable, although me mate who used to work for a sports wholesaler, has said they have had nothing but problems with DPD.

Worst one for me though, has always been City Link, and especially the local depo @ Ilkeston.

Yodel (AKA HDNL, who have several business units, like Business Express, Collect+, etc), used to be good (Especially when they was known as White Arrow Express), but I now see them getting as bad as City Link now.

The thing with this its a toy that is 5ft by 3ft for my nephew not a little match box i told the woman. Which is for his 2nd birthday on sat 2nd. They just don`t seem to give a rats a*s who you are

Sorry i sound like an old fart.

Others that deliver i`ve had no probs. Well it will be the last time that if any companies that are linked to yodel will be given a wide birth at any cost. All other points have been taken into account i will say.

I always used to hate City Link, but in the past couple of years they have been spot on - bar one missed collection (van breakdown apparently!) - but I have used them quite a lot via Parcelmonkey for collecting and delivering forum sales. People seem to have received their parcels fine on the correct days :)

Kinda sums up what I said above, couriers are only as good as your local team. For me Hermes is gash, City Link are spot on - and it's the opposite for you!

Again, I'm sure it's down to the local office. I used to dread using 'Sh**ty Link', but when I started using them for collections and things (because it worked out WAY cheaper than Royal Mail), I didn't get an issue, apart from the one time the van broke down.

One of the worst couriers I used to get problems with was Amtrak, back when I used to order computer components from Micro Direct (who I don't think are competitive any more, but were about 10 years ago). Had no end of problems with Amtrak - drivers not knocking, just putting cards through the letterbox for example. Yet again - that was probably just a bad driver, for all I know they were probably the best courier of all normally :)

Yeah, my Yodel service is fine now I've got a good local driver. Have you got tracking details for it? What's the actual **** up? :)

Hey,

Can I ask which keyboard you ordered ? I've been looking to replace mine recently due to slightly damaged and notice they've discontinued my current model yet is available to purchase at a clearance store for half I originaly paid but reluctant to spend any money plus is my 2nd replacement in 6 years. Pretty bad for a keyboard huh ?

http://www.ecotronic...ceiver/1796/37/

It is a good 'standard' simple keyboard with every key serving a practical purpose. The only downside is it's slightly heavier then what needs to be for a keyboard and when it drops has tendency to crack/break the shell other then that it's a perfect keyboard plus is wireless which is a must.

Yodel has a bad reputation but so doe's Amazon. I was reading an article not so long ago about fraudulent reviews incentives/paid for by either the sellers or Amazon's Vine program which like a large number of retailers & manufacturers gift out the product in exchange for professional reviews common on utube with unboxing and review videos also..

The only thing I like about Amazon is price but they're heavily criticized about how they undercut & under price competition first by loophole to underpay tax and secondly directly competing & undercutting their lowest 3rd party sellers by a minimum of about 5% and tactfully using their sales records to find hotsellers, best sellers etc then price them out.. which overall I think is great cause the retail industry is filled with filth and manipulation but will soon be bad when Amazon resumes their higher prices after bankrupting half the competition so screw them all
