Welcome to Fruit-Emu MrDeano.
All the values depend on the Emulator you are trying to alter.
MFME....This is altered by the Dip switches.
JPeMu....The simple drop menus.
.....And the ROM needs to be able to support the JP's your trying.....Example here http://www.fruit-emu...hanging jackpot
If you mean the Values on the machine graphics don't alter, this is because the machine is drawn around the ROM and there is only 1 background in a layout.
To have the background change to the values you select you'll need to alter the artwork that was used and replace all the values (eg £6 JP then you will add £6 to the art, £10 then £10 to the art and so on).
Bottom line is a different payout is a whole new emulation basically.

Its a MFME i am using. I have tried changing the dip switches but with no effect.
The machine is Red Hot Roll PDX 1280 which is set at 30p stake and £15 jp. I was hoping to change it 25p stake.
Many Thanks for your help. Its great to be apart and relive the nostalgia of all these machines i used to play.

That you can't do, eg the £10 JP needed a new chip to upgrade from the £6 token version....and so on
I have the info on this machine and this pic will give you how the % is altered, not what you asked for but if you want to play around

Thanks for all your help. I'm still new to this but having lots of fun playing them
Was also wondering on the MFME program what DRIFT value means ?
Is this to do with the Tubes i.e. + = filling up, - = emptying

Ive changed a few clubbers stake, prize and %age, mainly on £250 jp machines because playability can suffer a tad. I have got 2 layouts for calamari club (same layout with the jp and top 3 prizes altered) one is set at 25p/£250/86% the other 10p/£100/84%. Also crown jewels i have increased to 25p/£250 although im not sure what %age its on. All the dips switches changes the %age target, I just have all 8 set ON. hopefully that means about 88%+
Ive also got 2 layouts for unibox, one at the 30p/£15, but also 20p/£5 just altered some of the values on the classic layout and bobs my uncle.

Would imagine that's 98% as most of the others.....
Drift is simply drifting away from the set %age.

cool! thanks. A clubber set at 98% = excellent!
A few things i would like to know though if poss:
- Can you unlock layouts that have been locked (i want to fanny about with club x and red hot roll club mainly so i can alter stake and jp so i can play 2 different versions of the same game - so in the mfme game manager ill have 2 of each, one @ 25p/£250, and the other say 20p/£150) but also, because on some layouts which are locked, i would simply like to turn the reel lamps off to spin them faster - supafruit is a dog on my machine, even with delay at 0.
- I want to know how the m1a %ages are set in mfme, do you use the drop down menu still, or is it fannying baout with dip switches?
Cheers

There are tools (which I don't have and don't want!!)
These layouts are locked by the authors as they don't want them altered or tampered with.
Best bet is to contact the authors on Here, DAD's, Fruit Forums MPU Mecca etc and ask them personally if they have an unlocked version you can have, and indeed if they mind you messing.

I can understand locking dx layouts, but why classics?? Its only little drawn boxes with times new roman font in it!!!!
Just looking through my game manager, and it appears that all bar 1 of the machines i need unlocked layouts on are by a guy called steve phipps. The other one is Monopoly club by harvey.
i think ill have to grin and bear what i got, or even try re-doing it completely, figuring out reel bands, lamp numbers etc...

Make my blood boil big time................
Obvious you have no idea on creating Emulations.......
I'm not going to even bother explaining it to you with that attitude, lets just say you are just so wrong--a classic takes 10 times longer to make than a DX--whatever font you use!!!!!
