if machines are being rigged!! our local arcade is unbelievable like dropping for 50 60 quid then giving out jackpot or sometimes less :? :? :? :? :? :? what can be done about this

It is pretty unlikely that the machines are being rigged - heres some things to look out for :

a) A percentage payout of AT LEAST 80% [any less in an arcade is shocking, 78% if the least I ever played a machine on]

B) If the machine is backing, it may have paid out a large win, and subsequently been refilled - so the machine will be 'full of coins', but not willing to pay out.

Of course, neither of the above are illegal - the minimum percentage payout is 70% here [I think its 86% on the Isle of Man though :(], and refilling a machine is just normal procedure, although it does give the impression the machine is ready to pay out.

does anyone know on a machine it displays an average payout percentage on the front of the machine is it illegal to set the percentage lower than stated.
